Just watching the replay now,you're struck by the skill level of both sides.It's far ahead of any grand final in recent years.It's just a shame we ran out of gas in the last quarter.If not for that it would have gone down as one of the all time great grand finals.

2013 GF was a massive let down, after great grand finals between 2009-2012 everyone non Hawk supporter should have been disapointed.

That goal Hawk soccered from the ground Reid was Ottons and Tarrant was on Hawkins. and they had a some other footage of Reid on the resting ruck. Might of only been that footage, ive stopped watching the flashback now that the 3rd quarter is over anyway.

The best part of this was hearing Maxy explain how hard that year had been, even before the finals started. So many injuries, the reports so much pressure on everyone. I watched until the Bartel goal after Jolley's ruck knock out on the full. That was the moment I knew we were just going to be watching someone flogging a dead horse. GF's are so good when you win and just a bottomless pit when you lose.

We ran out of gas against Brisbane in rd 19 or 20 and we never recovered it that is what happens when you peak too soon in the season.
Too many bad memories to watch again just like the other losing gf,s since north in in 77 why would you bother it does not get any easier with the passing of time.
What really annoys about 11 is that we could have won that one and we did not give ourselves the best chance,we should have stayed focused and we lost it after Shaw was suspended and Thomas got a 2 match ban and also MM,s antics from the TFS onwards.
Rocca in 03 and Carman in 77 cost us as well but not as severely as 2011,I am depressed now time tor a drink.

That really annoyed me, and still does. Clean mark not paid, then the ball lands on the line and it is paid on the full.

Big momentum-killer.

Agree TD especially 2011,that 2011 season was the beginning of the end of Jolly,he would have been a match for Ottens on 2010 form but he was already starting to break down that season and as we saw he never recovered that fitness again.Jolly could not jump and the writing was on the wall after someone like Kruezer put the cleaners through him which would not have occurred when he was closer to his peak but we did get a flag because of recruiting him so it was all good.
Just a pity he could not back up in 2011 because we would have been awfully close to the Cats if he had but it was a grave mistake playing him in 2011 and 5 mins in showed that.
