I can't believe people are really complaining the rules of entry are too tough. What did people expect from a bloodsucking insurance company - generosity!

These competitions are the same all over the world, the insurance company always makes the rules so prohibitive as to make the million dollar shot or kick nearly impossible.

50m on the fly is very tough but it is for 1 million dollars!

its disgracful what they are doing, your not allowed to have played club or junior footy in the last 5 years and if you cant take your kick than the person replacing you has to be over 33 years of age......what crap

I've never kicked a footy in my life ... can I enter?

What's the rules for it and where do i get more info on it? ... please don't tell me I have to watch the actual show!!

The competition is a joke.

I am 16, but although I just did my knee, and would be lucky to kick it 30 anyway, I couldn't take the kick because I played U-17's at North Dandenong.

How ridiculous!

The rule is you have to have been retired from being a registered footballer for 5 years. That counts juniors. So if you are 20, and you played U-16's, you can't take the kick.

Oh well, I might just let my grandma take the bloody kick, she has as much chance as anyone eligible.

You can all come get me to take the kick. I have been out of the game for over five years and can still kick like a mule.
I'm also good under pressure, having put a checkside in from about 20 metres, after the siren, in the little league once to win the game. Heaps more pressure than Dixon faced last week.

50-50 seems like a fair split. :D

so in other words they expect someone whos not really played footy like granmothers to be able to kick fifty meters!

what a scam...the footy show should be ashamed for even announcing it!

I will be 15 when the grand final is on and I can only kick 35 metres with no wind. But I would be more than happy to enter for this comp if you get $10K for missing the goal...

In College Basketball, you get 1000 Grand for draining a shot from the 3 point ark, and if you miss you still get 10 grand.
So I would only go in this comp if you get money for missing the shot!

What's the bet that a Collingwood fan donned in black and white wins the comp just like the comp earlier in the year to go to London. Who won it..some idiot looking looking like a **** impersonating a Collingwood legend.

Does that include soccer or rugby ? seems like a n 'import could do it.

And what about Huddo or quinlan ?

The Rugby League Footy Show (the show we see up here while you Vics are watching the Ed and Sam equivalent) have the same style compeititon.

Except it is $1M for a 40m kick. will more than likely be off the 'ground' (with it's little mound of sand under it).

Crikey ch9 must have some money to throw around - $2M risked on 2kicks - they must think the risks of ppl failing are worth it.

Yeah thats right..placekick 40 out..wonder if it's 10 out from touch. Still it's easy..place kicking is simple.

I wonder if you get an extra 500k for a torp 65 out? ;)
