I pity all you young flogs.
As well as spending your time waxing every hair on your bodies, smearing your face with moisturizer for 'men' and holding up your phones while listening to terrible bands, you have missed out on seeing real football
Sorry, I call bullpoo.
My kids have things so much easier than we did growing up in the 70's. They have everything they need and things they don't need.
And yes, you may argue that they are spoilt, and they may not appreciate things the way we did, but again, that's crap. I'd rather have things to choose from, than exist in a technological wasteland.
In the 70's you were lucky to get 1 vfl TV game per week, now my kid can watch 9 AFL games (even free to air you get 4). And the game these days is so much more skillful. Look at some of the 70's and 80's highlights from the vfl and it's pure thuggery. But I will concede the commentary these days is universally unlistenable.
And they get to see any sport they want. I would have killed to watch Liverpool play every match in the late 70's and 80's. And American sport.
And don't get me started on how great the opportunities for travel, experiencing the world, the affordability of what were once luxury items, the improved choices in food etc (seriously, pizza didn't exist before the 90's at the earliest.)
Nope, other than moron politicians threatening to destroy the future, I'd love to be a kid today to experience what's going to be available in the next 50 years.
Although I agree the music was better in the 80's and 90's.
