Footy was better last century- as was everything else.

I pity all you young flogs.
As well as spending your time waxing every hair on your bodies, smearing your face with moisturizer for 'men' and holding up your phones while listening to terrible bands, you have missed out on seeing real football :(
Someone called bosk did this thread yesterday and it was also shit

  • Pizza in the 60s 70s and 80s was made by Italians and it tasted like pizza
I'm talking about real napolitana style pizza. Perhaps you had access to that in Melbourne but I grew up 2 hours north of Sydney. And up there, that's only come about in the last few years.

But fair enough. I find the pizza in melbourne to be excellent, certainly can't comment on it last century.

Of all the things one could dream about you choose VFA premierships.
Yeah. I'm probably the oldest member on this site, and the earliest footy memory I have is the 1976 GF. I don't get people who bang on about footy before they were born... but then again I talk about Nebuchadnezzar when he ruled Babylon when Cyrus invaded by diverting the Euphrates River when I talk to MILFS to look impressive, so I guess I'm a hypocrite.

I think I had my first pineapple pizza in the late 70s
By an Italian in High St Thornbury.
Even had one in Sicily the owner had been on holiday in Surfers and loved it.

Pineapple on a hamburger in the late 70s early 80s from a FnC pre Mackas was the best
I used to work in an FnC when I went to school and served Peter Knights every Friday when he was carb loading before a game
No skin folds in the good old days of footy

All too true Im afraid.
They looked like a bunch of hairdressers and played slightly less well.
Can you imagine them playing an early eighties Bombers/Hawthorn/Carlton team it would have been all over at quater time because the early 80's team would be to busy rolling around with laughter to play footy.
