Back on last week's episode, agree with Fine that the 1970 GF is vastly misinterpreted, especially with how pivotal Carlton's use of handball supposedly was.

As a Suns member and supporter, i am sick of Finey (and by chance, other Saints supoorters - coincidence or not ...) complaining about my team.
Get over it.
We are here and not going anywhere.
If we can average 12-14k per game, (all bar one against interstate teams) and have about the same amount of members, when we have been a shit team, then wait to we start winning.

I agree, the suns hate for getting a priority pick is illogical.

Most teams at some point have benefited from priority picks including st Kilda.

As a Carlton fan its nice to hear Finey pot another team for once.

I hope player retention issues for the Suns becomes a thing of the past. Kudos to all the current young players who have signed a contract extension. The temptation to do a Prestia, Lynch etc would have been huge.

Hello all, there's a new ep. of the podcast up and going. This week, we're wrapping up the draft, talking Test cricket thumpings, wacky AFL ideas, there's some wide-ranging "Life Hacks", and we go back to 2002 and the best of music, movies and TV. Hope you enjoy, and as usual, all feedback invited.

Cheers,
Rohan

Good episode, I like the small serving of AFL and the more general stuff..

Time is flying, I was bemused that M Fine could like cutting edge dance music, but its about to be 20 years ago...

As someone of greek heritage i got to laugh at the Delis who sell dolmades at something ridiculous like $25 a kilo when i know they cost less than $1 a kilo to make. Its a rip off of the highest order!
im not of greek heritage tho i enjoy the food...agree on the dolimades...the saganaki @ $6.50 for 2 pieces is fairly priced ?

That was pretty good listening. I liked Finey talking about commentators talking up a dead contest and what Pakistan had to do to win last week's Test. The chat about guns laws/culture in America was interesting as well.

There's a lot of good dance music I've like over the years. But because it's hard to track the artist/DJ, or type in youtube a line of the lyrics (If there is any) it kind of gets lost.

For example, CH9 played a great intro for the 09 NRL GF. The music they played of the montage and grabs from the players added to the sense of occasion. That was obviously in 2009, but it wasn't til 2016 or 17 that I found out it was Royksopp - Royksopp Forever. It done now, but it was a silent torment that I had to live with for all that time. I'm glad it's over, but there's other songs out there.

I used to work at a lot of nightclubs, and Revolver was one. But I only did a few shifts and they were on quiet nights. It reminds me of working at Q Bar close by, which it the worst nightspot I'd worked at. It was like working in the unkempt toilets of hell.

Hi people,

There's a new Footyology Podcast episode out today. This week, we talk re-signings and rehabs, new skippers, soccer, and that dire MCG wicket. "Life Hacks" goes in all directions, footy history, kids' language, film censorship and shopping, and "Vinyl & Video" takes a trip back to 1976, a great year for movies particularly. Hope you get something out of it, and thanks for your continued support.

Cheers,
Rohan
