that's honestly fascinating - he's almost a bit Chris Harris-ish. I've known the name and I might have maybe watched highlights of Underwood at some point but I like that response; that's some sleight-of-hand stuff there.

edit: he'd have been a massive pain in the arse to face.

And to keep wicket to! Alan Knott (the best gloveman ever) was his keeper for both Kent and England.

You didn't want to face him on uncovered pitches, that was for sure.

He reminds me a lot of an earlier version of 1990s Anil Kumble. Yes, I know that Kumble was a wrist spinner, but both were accurate, quicker than their compatriots, and devastating when the pitch suited them.
