Yeah I dunno, last time he built a grandstand it didn't go that well. Not actually too sure what he's really bringing the club TBH.

Their is only a handful of people that can actually achieve the roles that sutherland has completed, CA for 17 years and brings a Financial background which is inline with other directors cats have...
Pretty decent succession plan if he is.

Everything he has been involved in with football clubs has been a disaster.
Who cares if a only a handful of people have been as terrible as he has.

Would of thought of being part of cheating us out of a flag in 95, and then now actually on our board is more of a concern than his cricket shenanigans.
The optics aren't great appointing this guy, and particularly so soon after the CA scandal. I really wonder whether this is further evidence of the hubris that is enveloping our club at the moment. Quite pessimistic for the future with these clowns in charge.

grandstand what broke Carlton and that was after he left and yeah he was part of a cap rort but he wouldn't have had the final say just carrying out orders but would have gained a lot from CA and only lost plot in 2017 not 100% why and what pressure he was under...
Who gives a sh** about the grand stand or australian cricket culture. This guy helped rort the cap and cost us a flag. He shouldnt even be allowed into the town of geelong let alone the football club.

A guy who was part of literally cheating us out of a flag is now a director of our club.
I can't believe it.
If we accept this we are no longer geelong supporters. This is disgraceful. Our players in 95 deserved a flag. We can not disrepect them by hiring this guy.
If you are not mad then you are showing disregard for everything our club tried to achieve in the mid 90s.
This would be like hiring the coach of a drug cheat who cheated us out of a gold medal to be our new coach.
