Oppo Camp Former Freo player watch

Lachie Weller didn’t even finish in the top 10 of Gold Coast’s Best And Fairest. Crazy, Gold Coast have the youngest list in the AFL and he’s earning $800k a year. That’s a disgrace.

He’s a really underwhelming player and just doesn’t impact the game enough. No loss for Freo.

Lachie Weller cares about money and banging birds. That’s it. May as well have become a male model. A shame because he has the talent to be an A grader.

Dang he is fine though....

Many clubs have liked our "rejects" and turned them into required best 22 players. Good luck Nyhuis!

In recent years just Matt De Boer and Menegola. Although Menegola probably wasnt best 22 this year. So by many you mean 2?

Chris Mayne was wanted just not as bad as Collingwood wanted him.

Barlow, Gu before injury

T-train still a chance

Silvagni was a leader at Carlton

Games at other clubs:
Barlow 15 (two seasons)
Silvagni 7 (two seasons)
Mzungu 4 (one season)
Sheridan 1 (one season)

We probably cut Barlow a year early, outside of that the decisions above looked right at the time and still do.

Barlow broke his leg and missed games
Silvagni also had injuries but he was in their leadership group!
Gu was cooked by injuries so probs not a success, they tried to play him though
T Train the jury is still out but he did his calf in the one game he played, defs unlucky run

Starting to think we break all our players and ship them off actually

Add Crozier, Deluca and Sutcliffe (Barlow?) off the top of my head recently, but can go further back as well think.

Crozier was hardly discarded.

Deluca and Sutcliffe aint best 22 at their respective clubs
Crozier not wanted and traded then played in his natural position of HB. Deluca not wanted and contract not renewed but when played in natural inside mid excelled at Subiaco and redrafted. Could have done with him as a replacement for Neale and has only been at Carlton for a few months but already been in best 22.

Point was Ryan Nyhuis was not wanted and delisted and could be picked up and play top 22 by a club that wants a lock down small defender great at tackling and can kick goals. If we'd played him against Essendon and other teams that had a small forward off the leash and kicking winning scores then we might have won more games.

I believe the decision to delist or not, should have been left to the new coach who may value this type of player, just like DeBoar, Crozier, Menangola etc have been valued when we've, with the old coach and admin, discarded them.

Deluca is playing as a small forward at Carlton and is not best 22 yet. Played a couple games at the tail end of the season due to injury

There was a contract tabled to Crozier but Western Bulldogs was more generous.
