Came back from Canberra last night on the same flight as Steven Armstrong, who unbelievably is still only 25. Playing with the Perth Demons over in the West.

43 games with us. 37 and a premiership thumbsu with the Eagles.

saw Bruce at Southland on Thursday (i know he's not a former player).. wearing a beanie walking by himself. I called out " Brucie" and gave him the thumbs up, he waved back.. pretty cool.

Oh and i saw Dunn and Bartram at subway out the front of Ethihad when we played Carlton... Dunn was getting a meatball sub.

Our players must have a thing for subway because I saw Bennell and Wonas buying subs at half-time during that game. I asked for a photo with them and got one. I jizzed my pants when they put their hands around me.

At the Freo game I saw Jordie McKenzie buying chips in the bottom deck of the Southern Stand while Bennell waited for him outside.

Then Neitz and Nicho walked past suited up as a young J. Watts was chatting with the fans at the bottom of the escalator.

For a match with about 7 people there it was certainly star studded at the food outlets.

At the Freo game I saw Jordie McKenzie buying chips in the bottom deck of the Southern Stand while Bennell waited for him outside.

Then Neitz and Nicho walked past suited up as a young J. Watts was chatting with the fans at the bottom of the escalator.

For a match with about 7 people there it was certainly star studded at the food outlets.

I saw Jack there too, and the non-playing boys in the reserved seat section, got to say thanks and good luck to Wheats and Wheels at the Freo game. Incredibly, Watts is a taller fella than i thought- I'm 6'3" and his eyes were level with the top of my baseball cap, i'm sure.

I saw Colin Garland walking through DFO after the North (or Carlton, I forget) game at Docklands with his ultra hot girlfriend.

He kept on flicking around a bit of paper and dropping it. I could sense an injury coming.

Don't know if anyone here went to the AGM this year but there was a gimmick where Stynes went "everyone turn around and shake hands with the person behind you". Somehow this actually worked rather than everyone just turning around and looking at somebody's back.

I got Brian Dixon, the lady next to me got Barass.

The person behind me got some nobody.

Saw Yze in the hospital a few years ago. I planned on running to get into the same elavator as him, but quickly changed my mind as I thought it would be tactless to talk about footy in a hospital.

Very underestimated talent by the rest of the AFL fraternity.

Saw Brad Green at 'Taste of Tas' last year , he was chatting away and having a sip on some local brew (Cascade) chatting some friends. Didnt want to disturb him though, though he did hear me when i said to my mate, "Hey thats Brad Green". He just casually looked over and smiled.

Saw Nathan Burke last year at a local resturant, was just about to get into line to place a few bob on the Keno, when some ****er with a nose bent in 3 places pushed in front rather rudely. So being a smart ass i muttered something under my breath then the guy turned around and it was Bourkey! Still looked fit enough to play too.

A couple of years ago the Dees played the Bulldogs in Bendigo during the pre-season, I managed to stake a spot right at the interchange right on the fence, was only a meter away from all of them. Waved to every single one that went past (Neitz, Ooze, Robbo, White, Wheels) & they all waved back, Neitz even gave me two thumbs up. I can honestly say that Jamar & PJ are two of the tallest beings I have ever seen in my life. Got waves from them too.

I know it's not off-field, but it's still pretty cool they all were less than a meter from me.

My most random incounter was after the 2000 GF i was at Cheers nightclub (toss the boss tuesday... G'dy up!) and all the boys were there. Spent ages talking to Cam Bruce and Greeny. The pricks bumbed half a pack of smokes of me before i had to tell them that i wasn't going to be responsible for them getting lung cancer... Earlier in the night, say 10 o'clockish Netia had to carry Shane Woewodin out. Apparently he had been on this diet where he was weighing all of is food etc.

Then that Thursday night Guy Rigone, Troy Simmonds and Adam Yze where at Sallon Bar and they hadn't been home yet...

I'm still shattered that neither Schwartz or Netia didn't just king hit one of them... Between that and the incident with Fletcher and Barnard before the first bounce belting Brad Green...

Highlight of the Saloon night was Talking to Guy's misses on the phone trying to explain why he hadn't been home, and how he was doing it for the fans.

Troy Simmons is the ugliest bloke to ever grace the earth. Its like is head was inside out.

I was there too. The lights went off just as the Doggies were running away. They came back on in time to have a kick on the ground there. There was a huge wind to one end so I was slotting goals from 45.
