Dollar saving would be the major reason you'd think.

Yeah. Hopefully it works out for them. However, when Jordan were presented with free terrible Yamaha engines for 1992 they took them and almost clasped financially due to a lack of points during that season. What saved them was a points finish in the last race in Adelaide.

Guessing this isn't an unpopular opinion but * that 'race' was boring.

I know the front normally becomes spread out but you normally at least see the cars further back in the field have some fun. Almost every car spent the entire race with at least a 3 second gap to the car behind. We basically just watched 16ish cars go for a nice Sunday drive. Really disappointed with that - if the track is the problem, they need to take it off the schedule.
