Ever stuffed up placing a bet to end up with a better outcome than what you would have had with your original plan? ie. just accidentally put on $79 instead of 79 cents for a quinella, ended up with a $330.00 return.

And have you ever done something the other way and lost out big time on a mistake?

Something very similar, with IASBet I wanted to put 10.01 on a horse, but missed the . and only noticed when my account was almost cleaned out by my 1001 dollar bet.

Shat myself, as I had worked hard to get it up to over 1k, rang them straight away, but as I was telling them what happened, the race jumped. :(

They did however have a quick look at my account and could see I was not in the habit of betting a grand on horses, so at the 200m mark of the race the lovely lady came back on the line to inform me they had cancelled the bet for me, just as my horse was looming up to the leaders....

It ran 3rd, was paying 8 bucks too, I have no idea what I would have thought if it had won, but I was glad they showed some common sense.

Can't really explain the feeling when I saw my account go from 1110.01 to around a hundred lol, not something I recommend for the heart.

I think this was my first ever bet at the TAB...

I went to put a 'pick the winner' multi on the rugby league. Cost me 5 bucks. A mate later told me that pick the winner includes the -8.5 starts etc, not just the outright winners. The ticket ended up winning paying around 220/1, so i collected over 1000 bucks from the whole debarcle.

I bet a fair bit (in relation to my other punting) on each week of the NFL season, usually a few decent 3-4 leg multis plus a few other specials.

I hadn't used my Sportingbet account for some time but had a long-term bet had come off so there was around $1k fresh in it, therefore this week I decided to use SB for NFL instead of my usual other agencies.

So as I was chucking something of a smaller 'hedger multi' on right at the end, I noticed there was an option of either a Standard, American, or Lucky 63 bet. I clicked on the other two to see what they did, but couldn't really find the explanation and being Sportingbet I had no idea to find it (esp late on a Sunday night!), so just went back to putting my small 'standard option' multi on.

Woke up the next morning to watch the games and thought I'd just check to see what the exact parameters of my bets were again. Turns out I didn't click back to 'standard' for that one, and that it had in fact put on a 'Lucky 63'.

63 dang bets of $10 with a variety of doubles, singles, trebles etc in there of the five or six legs that I had. Six hundred and thirty bloody dollars.

Ended up that all bar one leg got up (and it was my niners getting THUMPED 45-10 to the Falcons no less!), so I got my money back and turned a few hundred bucks profit. Would have been well over a grand if the Niners had've somehow pulled it off, but I was more than happy to just get my money back.

i had the reverse happen.

last year i accidently put a PYOL ($100) of melbourne to beat west coast by about -10.5 it was paying about 2.20 when i ment to put port to beat brisbane by 10.5 paying about 2.80.

Luckily both bets won but its the only stuff up i have ever made in betting (except for all the loses :p )

One of my mates accidentally had $800 on a horse instead of $80. As he was ringing up to try and get his bet cancelled the race started and he asked for management so he got put on hold for a while. By the time management got to the phone his horse was leading up the home straight. All he said was "just want to congratulate you on the way you run your wonderful organisation". He hung up and pocketed about $4000.

It always seems to go the wrong way round for me.

I remember a few years ago where a TAB stuff up cost me $4k from a winning trifecta.

Recently, I got on the swapped odds for last weekend's Glenelg v Sturt match (and at the line too!). Even after partially hedging I came out with a loss.

I also got on odds of $4.75 for the Swans to beat the Saints by over 5 points. After partially hedging, still came out with a loss.

Oh well.

Had a $10 Multi on the other day (About 7 legs), one of the tennis legs lost, but ended up being paid for it. Just over $100 :D

i made one today.... it was a tri on the dogs for 5 bucks but forgot to click on the flexi button before placin the bet... So it costed me 30 bucks and luckily it got up and paid around $100 so ended up gettin $500 by forgetting to make it a flexi bet!
