Tonight I saw a side that was ruthless. They never gave up and trusted each other and in the end dismantled a side that thought they had it all over us but in the end we refused to lose. We just would not lose this game. What a great effort and a toast to Tom Hawkins and the much maligned Mark Blake who I thought was awesome tonight. Well done Blakey. Go Cats.

A few observations.

Firstly, we played poorly I reckon in the first half - had a lot of it, didn't use it well.

Secondly, I loved it when the Pies supporters around me went the early crow at half time. I had no doubt at that stage that the Cats would win comfortably. Everything was working for us except goal kicking and I didn't think the Pies could take the pressure for two more quarters. I had no doubt we could do though.

Thirdly, I reckon we are playing outstanding football at the moment. I actually think we are playing better than 2007 (although the competition is also better).

couldn`t agree more with the op. Really impressed. Think the pies are a very good team but i think the cats are still a step above the pack. Well done Geelong.

The ruck combo worked well tonight. Blake's ruckwork was very good, and he presented well and used the ball pretty well too. Hawkins tap-work is improving and his confidence grows each week

I never thought i'd say this but ...... is there a place for Ottens in the team?
