After burning through the first two seasons of Foundation based on the massive internet hype surrounding it, I've finally caught up to the show and watched the Season 3 finale over the weekend. It might've had a bit of a clunky start, but it's some of the most compelling TV that has come out in a while and it inspired me to create a WW game:
If you're looking for a reason to watch it, maybe the ridiculously handsome Lee Pace can be that reason.
The Galactic Empire has ruled for centuries, always with three generations of emperors - Brother Dawn, Brother Day, and Brother Dusk - clones of Cleon I. Shepherding the brothers (collectively known simply as “Empire”) is Demerzel, the last surviving robot in all the galaxy. But after terrorists blow up the space station orbiting the emperors’ home planet Trantor, killing millions of people, it becomes quickly apparent that their grip on power is starting to break.
Meanwhile, the revolutionary Dr. Hari Seldon has created a completely new branch of science called Psychohistory - a banned practice that predicts the impending fall of the Empire. Rather than being executed for his heresy, he convinces Brother Day that if he is allowed to establish The Foundation, he will be able to harness all the knowledge in the galaxy to preserve the future of civilization. He and his followers are banished to the outer planet of Trantor to build a new colony, but quickly encounter the vengeful Anacreons from a neighbouring planet, who are hell-bent on destroying the Empire themselves.
Thrown into the mix are the Luminists - a religion centred on Maiden, one of the three moons orbiting the planet Surah. Their very existence threatens the legitimacy of the ruling Cleons, with their belief of Primary Octavo - that a soul can only be linked to one sentient being. And their reach across the galaxy is ever-increasing, leading to followers in very unexpected places …
And one more time, outside of the spoiler tag:

Roles will be randomly assigned to all players. Roles will be communicated before the start of Night 1 via PM (Private Message) except for Galactic Residents (Villagers), who won’t be notified of their role. The Foundation (Village) must identify and kill all the Empire (Mafia), Anacreons (Werewolves), Azura Odili (Serial Killer) and Luminists (Cult) before these players can kill enough players to satisfy their own win condition.
Each day will consist of two phases, starting with Night 1:
Night phase (9pm – 8am AEST)
Players with night actions will nominate the targets of these actions via PM during this phase. These actions must be bolded and clearly stated to be valid. Actions will not be accepted after 8am whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread.
Day phase (8am – 9pm AEST)
After the results of night actions have been announced, all players will publicly vote to lynch one player during this phase. Votes will not be accepted after 9pm whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread.
The player with the most votes by the time of the deadline will be lynched and their role revealed in the game thread. In the event of a tied lynch, there will be a multi-lynch i.e. all the leading vote-getters will be lynched.
VOTING
Votes must be in the game thread and must bold the player being voted. Tagging the moderator is optional, but is quite helpful for tracking votes. You do not have to provide a reason for your vote for it to be valid.

OTHER REASONS FOR MODKILLS
- Failing to nominate a night action on TWO separate Night phases (choosing to not use an action is fine)
- Any communication about this particular game of Werewolf outside of the game thread, except for those that have an allocated PM group
- Any deleting or editing posts from the game thread
- Posting screenshots of BigFooty of any kind in the game thread
- Directly quoting any PMs from myself as the game moderator in the game thread
