Almost fell off my chair when I saw Nick Riewoldt in the squad. An absolute joke.
Not really a joke, had a good year though did miss the final 3 games. Went back to playing the footy he was known for with his hard running up the ground and taking big marks. Won't make the team but worthy of the squad.

Looking at his stats though did lol when I saw an 8 game patch where he had 17 frees for and none against.

I'd sign him up for Sydney just to get the soft frees.

Ted and Kennedy will make it almost certainly I think. Ted at FB or CHB and Kennedy on the bench probably.

Jack I think will just miss although I think he would be a very worthy recipient of a bench spot. There are so many midfield contenders that have had brilliant years though so it wouldn't surprise or annoy me if he didn't make it. He would be one of many unlucky guys in that category.

Jetta 2 months ago would have been penciled in on a HFF but given how he has plateaued in recent weeks, he will surely miss.

I think Richards is a monty to get the gig at CHB.

Kennedy will probably make the bench. Had a quiet-ish patch in the middle of the season otherwise he'd be on the ground.

Jetta would have been a lock, but he's been out of sorts for the last 1-2 months and if he was at any other club, would have been dropped by now. Huge swing in form.

Jack, had a slow start to the season, but has grown immensly as the season went on.

Yep with everyone else. Teddy is a big strong unbreakable LOCKKkk. I was thinking "nah surely Kennedy is also a lock to get a gig somewhere"... Then I read the list of other megastars (Swans, Pendles, Abletts etc). I wouldn't put a bench spot past him though. Jack hasn't been "up" enough to warrent a spot IMO but you never know. Every year there's a couple that you just sit back and have no idea how they got there. Hopefully those are Kennedy and Jack this year :p:thumbsu:

Kennedy no.1 clearance player in the competition, don't think I'd be wondering how he got there if he was named. His disposal in congestion is a class above the rest too.

Is this the most that Sydney have had in the squad?

I think Richards will definitely get in with Kennedy just making it on the bench. Jack will be unlucky to miss out and I don't expect Jetta to make it after the last month he has had.

I think it will be bad to have Buddy Franklin in the team. I know he's been great but he's missed a quarter of the season.

We had four make the actual team in 2006. Hall, ROK, Goodes and Craig Bolton from memory.

Sean Dempster's had a very good year. Any chance we can trade him for Brett Meredith?

Great to see Ted recognised, has had an excellent season so far. If there was an AA spot for writing articles he would win that in a canter as well

Well done to Teddy so far!
And well done on Sydney recruitment team on trading a gun crumbing forward and now an All-Australian back pocket for Brett Meredith :thumbsu:
By far the worst trade in the club's history.

It's more correct to say it was Schneider and Dempster for Mattner. We had a second round pick originally and ended up with another second round pick around the same mark, it was probably we would have selected Meredith anyway.

Nic Nat and Rioli bizarre selections. Poor Jack and Jetta.

Bartlett is a grade A moron. Justifies having Jack miss out as not wanting the same type of player sitting on the pine.. you have four mids!!

Kennedy makes it in on the bench.

Happy with him and Ted being our representatives. Jack very unlucky and I suspect was just pipped by Swan and Pendlebury who are bigger names and have greater reputations on their shoulders. Jetta just wasn't going to make it on the back of his last 2 months.
