Well done to Kennedy! Some of those selections are ridiculous though! Franklin over Pavlich and Riewoldt, NicNat over Jacobs and Rioli over anyone.

Jack was never going to make it given the calibre of the midfield. Pity Jetta's crap month came at the end rather than at the start of the season
Yes but some really weird justifications. Franklin gets in on 16 games yet Jetta's last 4 apparently cost him a spot - so he would have made it if he didn't play the last 4? As for KB's explanation that they didn't want similar types on the bench, thus Jack missed out -news just in - THEY DON'T PLAY ANYBODY!

Nic Nat and Rioli bizarre selections. Poor Jack and Jetta.

Bartlett is a grade A moron. Justifies having Jack miss out as not wanting the same type of player sitting on the pine.. you have four mids!!
I shook my head at Bartlett's explanation. Good to see Sheahan have a crack at the selection commitee re Jetta...don't think ol' Mike agreed with Rioli over Jetta!

Is this the most that Sydney have had in the squad?

I think Richards will definitely get in with Kennedy just making it on the bench. Jack will be unlucky to miss out and I don't expect Jetta to make it after the last month he has had.

I think it will be bad to have Buddy Franklin in the team. I know he's been great but he's missed a quarter of the season.
Nice

Just really happy to see our players get the recognition, we've lived with the blue collar / underrated tag for so long, well done to Ted and Josh

Greg Denham a so called Journo for the Australian has said all year that Ted will never be AA. This flog is on SEN with Bartlett on Thursday and Friday and could be on tomorrow at 9. I urge any swan to ring up between 9 and 10 and give it to this Richard Cranium. 9429 1116

Rioli was better. Jetta fell asleep for the last 3rd of the season.

Yes Rioli can be overrated but it's gone way too far recently. Almost underrated by the general public now.

I would agree with you if that was the Criteria the selection process was based on but instead it was based on credits in the bank and previous reputation how can Franklin miss 7 weeks and still be included, does that mean if Jetta got injured through his lull period he would of had a better chance doesn't make sense.

Ludicrous to think Jetta form could be sustained through 23 rounds but he did enough to get over Rioli easily.

Would rather them with Premiership medals
Agreed, players would take a Premiership medallion over the Charlie too, I'd reckon. Individual recognition isn't as sweet without a flag to go with it - it is all about the team, club and culture. I am sure Kennedy and Richards just want to accept the honour, move on and focus on this weeks game.

firstly, i'd like to congratulate Ted and Josh for their AA selections. I can understand why jetta and jack didn't get selected.

secondly, how Delidio's selection has escaped criticism is an ABSOLUTE joke. flog bartlett must've got this guy onto the team. His stats are worthy but his leadership when the game is there to be won is not there. Mentally fragile. Much like the richmond footy club.
Lol at riewoldt not being selected, i would have assumed the guy who kicked the most goals in the season is worthy of being in the team. swap cox for natanui and slot him in the FF line somewhere. Pavlich's non-selection another joke, Put dangerfield on the bench and put this champion on HF line! Betts had a better year than Rioli, but I can see why they picked him. And lastly, WHERE THE **** IS SAM MITCHELL????

Deledio has escaped criticism because he deserved his spot.

Riewoldt was hardly mentioned in the AA thread all year until he won the Coleman. Didn't deserve AA. Hawkins was better, but Pav was better than both so agree he should have been in.

Yeah, but i would have put J.Riewoldt in the FP ahead of Cox. That's how much of a joke that selection is. One of the most baffling AA teams i reckon i've seen. Cox should have been in the ruck and NicNat not in the team all together and then put Pav in the FP.77

And if i knew Rioli was going to take out HFF position i would have made a claim for Jetta too. No way i reckon Rioli had a better season than Jetta.

Anyone who's followed any of my posts re NN ******* laughable, Jacobs year has been outstanding AA ruckmen leaps and bounds better then the highlight reel known as Nick Nat and easily accosted Cox in the ruck

Obvious option was to have cox as a second ruck.

And no Sam mitchell? Are they on crack?

Rioli Is over rated yes but his selection is tenable a strong case can be argued for his spot.

Then the pav issue, the defence they used says it all "he spent time in the midfield" Soo you over a look a guy due to his ability to play extremely well in different positions?

I feel sorry for all who legitimately earned there AA spot this year as it is now sealed that this years AA is a joke.
(seriously glass as captain?)

2 on side arguing the point he had a head start, Jacobs, Maric or Jolly would have been better
Apparently Jacobs had a great season...but he was absolutely smashed by Mumford in the Qualifying Final. Maric had a breakout season and would have been more deserving than the well and truly overrated Nic Nat. Johnathon Giles from GWS had a ripper 'debut' season.

Which ever way it's looked at, Cox should have been No.1 and someone else in the forward pocket...doesn't have to be a ruckman either!
