Yeah pretty disapppointing from Claremont.

Congrats to Williamstown.

Williamstown were a very well drilled and disciplined unit. Their passing/disposals were excellent and their pressure and counter attack awesome.
Pretty much the exact game plan that has beaten Claremont several times this year.
McPhee really has to look at getting some defensive pressure into our game. Our players need to completely forget about finessing, especially under pressure.
Having said all that, it was good that we at least made a game of it and if you look at the game in terms of scoring shots there wasn't a lot in it.

Why? These guys play for them every week, and are an accurate representation of the strength of the league. It does result in the VFL being the strongest league, but that's just a matter of fact.

It's probably less fair if AFL players were excluded, because it would result in some clubs needing to play a dozen players that are reserves regulars.

Ideally there would be an AFL reserves comp and no AFL players would need to play.
