Can't wait for the second biggest GF of the year!!

Hopefully we take this one semi-seriously and not play our reserves side;)

A plea to all you closet Tiger fans...Please come and witness history in the inurgrual Foxtel Cup GF, It's at Subi, so there should be no accessability issues. Let's make the crowd look semi-respectable, not like the dismal crowd at the semi:(

Get to the game, Claremont v Williamstown, 2011 Foxtel Cup Grand Final, Paterson's Stadium, August 6, 3.05pm.

Heaps upset about the semi, didn't know it was being played here. Thought it was a warm up to a main game for the Eagles or something. Didn't have the net for like 2 or so weeks, otherwise I probably would have read something on the net.

Will be wearing my scarf, not sure about my jumper though, bit tight more than 10 years old, need a new one. Can't wait though, I'm sure we'll take it seriously. Eagles feel free to "rest" players when the game comes :)
 
Ugh, I'd kind of like our team to not be crammed full of AFL players if possible. It's makes the comp a farce, even if Williamstown are.

Is this a stand alone game again? I hope so.

I hope so. I'm pretty sure Nick Suban lined up for us though against Port. My son spotted him and apparently a couple of other AFL players on Claremonts side that we don't usually have. Buggered if I can remember who though.

When Williamstown played East Perth they had Liberatore and Minson in their side. Not exactly spuds either.

Anyone know if Sherman will still be suspended by the time it rolls around?? If so, thats him, Minson, Addison, Libba, maybe Wallis.. just off the top of my head.. Gonna be tough.. thank christ its over here and not there.
 
I'd rather not have AFL listed players in it too but unfortunately there will be, Bulldogs have plenty going around. Minson, Addison, Veszpremi, Libba, Wallis, Hahn, Djerrkura to name a few. Vezspremi is pretty good, hasn't played for Bulldogs all season though.

McGinnity, Swift, Schammer, Waters*, Suban*, Broome/Weedon (are they falling out of favour?), Bones, Stevenson, Mackenzie* Who else am I missing?

I didn't bother to include De Boer/McPhee/Fyfe.

Brabazon didn't play either, will be good to get him back.


*Will probably be playing for their AFL sides.

Fremantle should drop Fyfe :D
 
I'll think about it and tell them what I think. We got the Saints in Melbourne on Friday night, we'll probably lose anyway. I'm cool with giving up the chance to be in finals and the chance for him to get a well deserved (cough) brownlow medal, as long as he can play for the mighty tigers!
