Just after an opinion guys, is Foxtel worth forking ouy money for? I love my NBA, but I'm just wondering what would be the cheapest way to get the sports channels? It's looking like about $55 a month at the minute, but just wondering do you guys think it is worth it for that price?

I love my Poker too, and I'm sure I'd watch the other American sports such as NFL, but is it worth it?

Get a girlfriend who has Austar/foxtel.

Best. Value. Ever. :D :thumbsu:

But seriously if my girlfriends family didnt have it I'd be tempted to fork out for it. Its a fair amount of money to me but it's worth it imo for all you get.

When are they going to realise that the Spurs are good, but boring as hell to watch?
Maybe they are going for the New Idea set, with cutaways and stories about Eva and Tone.

Almost as irritating and predictable as the explanation behind Arenas' jersey number...or lack thereof.

Yeah its defently worth it mate. Theyres always some sport on if your bored.

If your getting Foxtel I recomend just getting Basic + Sports.

Thanks mate yeah I was thinking the same. :thumbsu:

Although this new $10 for your first month and free installation sounds appealing, although you have to have sports and the movie pack as well.

Is that worth it?

Yeah I reckon its good just to scope out what channels you like.

Yeah if anyone has the Austar guide handy flick through the new guide for us and tell us the known ones on Fox sports.

Cant remember them when I was flicking through it at my gfs house.

Most are the usual. Mavs, Miami, Spurs and Lakers involved.

GSW get a run from memory.

There are a few TBA vs. TBA in there so might be a surprise or 2.

Grr upset the Hornets didn't get a game. I would rather watch something like Atlanta vs Memphis then seeing the Kobe Lakers all the time (4 Lakers games in a row wtf?). At least we aren't seeing as much of the Spurs this season :thumbsu:

That doesnt look right compared to what I saw in the Austar guide.

Some of those I remember but some I certainly didnt. Still its an indicator of sorts, I guess thats TNT's schedule?

I don't actually have Foxtel and was looking at getting it for my NBA fix. Is 4 games a week looking like being standard for us this year?

Because in the past we've only got 1-2 a week if I remember correctly? If we get 4 a week then i'm sold!

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA 07/08 Season Thread!

Last year we had 2-4 games being shown every week. ESPN always showed two, Fox Sports showed 1 nearly every week and 2 occasionally.

Im a bit disappointed with the released schedules so far - no Raps games. :( Oh well, Lakers/Suns should be good to watch regardless. Anyone actually keen to watch Detroit/Miami? That will be a terrible game...

Depends on who you follow, LA Lakers are getting a ton of matches, in fact next month they get a total of 7 out of 17 games.

I will post which teams get how many matches on FOXTEL for next month:
La Lakers(7)
Miami(3)
Detroit(3)
San Antonio(3)
Phoenix(3)
Cleveland(3)
Dallas(2)
Boston(2)
Denver(2)
New York(1)
Golden State(1)
Chicago(1)
Atlanta(1)
Houston(1)
Milwaukee(1)

So that means no games for:
Charlotte
Indiana:(
LA Clippers
Memphis
Minnesota
New Jersey
New Orleans
Orlando
Philadelphia
Portland
Sacramento
Seattle
Toronto
Utah
Washington
