You know how those without Foxtel complain about sport not being on FTA? I have Foxtel, but I get annoyed when sport I want to watch is on Setanta. Grrrr!

How did it go down? Did they talk you around with any special packages etc?

Did they ask you q's about what you liked about Foxtel and then go away and come back and do the hard sell?

Yeah i've been there done that today I just was like meh and they probably caught my vibe and offered me the box and normal channels so in the future I can get it back on whenever I want. So i'm still paying 10-12 bucks a month for the box. But it works out well for me because i don't have another recording option and I just had the damn thing refurbished so I want it for a little while!

Anyone remember the old Foxtel box??? (The one before Foxtel Digital).

Yeah the Big black box that said what channel you were on like 11 for Fox Sports. and you could press yellow for a tiny clock to pop up on screen not the whole EPG. i miss the little clock.

Ive been a subscriber since Late 2001, and only been with out it when moving into my apartment for about 1 week till i got it set up. i have 2 HD boxes and 1 SD which all get filled up when i go on holidays and miss AFL or other sports and the shows i watch.

Foxtel advertise a movie (this is the end in this instance) as now showing on box office, but it's not showing?

I noticed it a couple of months ago for another movie they said was showing but wasn't

Seems like a hard thing to get wrong twice, anyone know what's up with that?

Foxtel was the shit, before Internet and piracy became big. We still have Foxtel and I only really use it on the weekend to watch the footy or cricket. Usually stream cricket online from some shitty Indian stream.

Yeh this, really sport is the only good thing. Tv shows and Movies you can download for free in HD quality as soon as they air pretty much. Sport's really the only thing worth anything that you can't get better elsewhere, and Foxtel know this.

The only reason we really have Foxtel in our house is for the sports, and that my Mum and Dad are older and haven't really grasped the whole technology thing so they still like to watch their shows on Foxtel and record them.

IMO, in 2013 Foxtel is shit and we overpay for shit, the movies and tv shows are repeated constantly, way too many commercials, i still don't understand why there are so many commercials if were paying for it.

TV1 and SciFy are being replaced by TV Hits and SyFy.This link explains why

TV Hits will have shows like the NCIS,the 3 CSI's,Everybody Loves Raymond,Friends and HIMYM will be on it.

Only reason we have Foxtel is because my wife likes the Crime, Food, E, History etc channels - we got the premium bundle with Bigpond cable and home phone though we haven't even plugged in the phone. If it were up to me I wouldn't even bother getting the footy channel would just buy the $85 game pass type thing and stream to my TV. I just download everything I wanna watch and there are no good movies on there that I haven't seen already of have on my HDD. Now that I have NFL game pass there's literally nothing on there worth watching for me.

Nope, i haggle with the pricks as good as anyone and still can't get a reduction with bundling things.
