Got the mag today and was shocked to see they have upped the prices. Movies now an extra $2.95 per month, however TCM is now included. Big whoop, TCM shows movies from the 1930's. Not really worth an extra 2.95 per month. Apparently the reason for the increase is the low Australian Dollar.

The magazine is now going to cost $2. Why the hell is that? It was never charged for previously. Im mega pissed at these charges, and I don't even pay the bill. Only had Foxtel 3 months, feels like we're being ripped off.

I'm with you! I've only had it a month, and now they've done this? I feel like ringing the guy who knocked on my door and blasting him! He shafted me. He must have known this was going to happen!

It's all in the fine print Mandy :) They can change their prices whenever they wish. Nice for them isn't it. It means my parents are now are forking out over 60 dollars a month, as we have satelite. As I really want to get the AFL channel next year as well now, that means I will have to probably pay for it.

HA HA HA

Sorry people, but that is to all the people that had a go at me for not getting foxtel, saying I would go to friends who had it, or the pub when the Bombers were on foxtel.

It seems my reasons for not getting it is proved correct, they are using the footy to rip people off.

So it seems now instead of paying over $60 a month just so I can watch the footy, it would cost me at least an extra $5 a month at the moment, what will they put up next.

They have a captive audience, if you want to watch footy with them, you are going to pay for it big time.

Foxtel, you go to hell, you go to hell & die.

PS: Just a suggestion, but for people who haven't signed up for a twelve month contract, why don't you ring them up & tell them you don't want it anymore, maybe if enough people do that, they might rethink their price hikes.

I have no idea what I even signed up for, and I have satelite too. I know They deducted over $70 out of my account this month though. I only got it for the football. I don't mind paying $6.95 a month for that, but who knows how much everything else will go up?

Maybe you're right Mantis, but I REALLY want the football, and I'm scared to threaten them in case they take it away from me!

If you really only want it for the football Mandy, just get the basic package which is 47.95. Then get the football channel on top of that. Forget the movies which are now 12.95 and the entertainment extra thingy which includes the comedy and history channels among others and costs 9.95 per month. Also you could freeze it for a month or two, that way you don't have to pay anything for that month, but obviously no Fox programs either :)

Well keep the movies then :) Just that in an earlier post you said you only really wanted it for the footy.
Football was THE reason I signed up, but now I have it, I like the movies. I wish I could get rid of a lot of the crappier stations. You should be able to pick what you want, and just pay for that.

The changes
- You now dont have to have the movies to get Entertainment Plus
- Disney Channel comes in to entertainment package, TCM joins movie package
- Movies costs 12.95 instead of 10 bucks now as the movie channel contracts are done in US currency
- Foxtel Magazine which used to be free, is apparently gonna be better now?, but its gonna cost you $2 (big deal), if 2 bucks is so much, well you can cancel gettin your foxtel magazine

I wanna ask a question, the "Sports Extra" Package........its only 1 channel....why the hell do they call it that?? maybe c7 is coming to fox?

I just wish Foxtel could some how get access to ESPN. It would be great to watch some of the international soccer matches, and the other sports it shows.

The extra charges are a bit of a pain but I really enjoy Foxtel and Dad loves the Italian channel way too much to part with it, in spite of the rising cost. :)

TCM will be a good edition to the movies package, they usually show plenty of classic Bogart films so there'll be plenty there to watch ;)

I do wish they'd show more NBA than the 3 or 4 games a month, as well as some international and Champions League soccer. However, once footy season is back underway, it'll be absolute heaven, footy 24 hours a day *mouth watering*

I've definitely got to get me one of those reclining comfy chairs with a built-in mini fridge in the side.......
