I'm wondering if GW2 might be the better option. Plan a BB team for GW1 but then if there's any unexpected changes to teams you can make tweaks to trigger it GW2.

Yeah way too many. The only strategy I can see around it is whether you use them immediately or spread them over the following weeks. Basically whoever is popular at the time everyone will have.

It’s up to you. I like to keep 0.5 just so you have the option of going either up or down in 1 transfer when one of your initial picks inevitably fails.
it’s also handy to have in case you miss a price change in the first couple of weeks.

that said, my current team has zero in the bank.

Alright, being a bit more sensible now. No real PODs but better balance i feel. Will bench boost in round 1 most likely. Hoping to stop chopping and changing every couple of hours!

mostly to get it out of the way.
once it's done you can take money out of your bench and concentrate on getting the best possible 11 on field.

GW1 BB has always been a strategy but not a very popular one. most people preferred to use it in a DGW in the second half of the season.
we now have 2 bench boosts to play so it’s become a more viable option.

I played it that way two years ago and was a big flop but as you say this year we have two and there will not likely be DGW in the first 18 rounds unless there is a weather cancelation.

Another addition could be to play Free Hit Round 2 as the fixture swing is moderately large between the two game weeks.

cons:

• defence is weak but **** defenders.
• the 5.5 mids don’t offer much and one is a rotation/minutes risk.
• Beto is only an option if Everton don’t sign anyone and there’s nobody else at that price.

pros:
- it has Haaland and Salah

I almost certainly won’t do this……..probably
