Has anyone here had experience lodging a complaint through the NSW office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing on any of these cockroaches? Are they fast to act and will they actually do anything?

I deposited around $3.5k to a particular bookie regulated by the NSW Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing.

Have tried to place six bets with them over the past fortnight (all $1k each or more) and all on liquid H2H markets, yet they declined every single one of them because I won ~$5k from them on a prop bet a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway I called them demanding to withdraw the $3.5k, as they have rejected all of my bets. They said I “need to turn it all over or otherwise pay a $140 processing fee”. Obviously I was shocked and annoyed but they still havent backed down from their position.

I’ll make one more request to withdraw and if they continue to refuse then I’ll take them to the regulators.

Would be interested to hear if anyone has any success stories going to the regulators (particular the NSW one) against these frauds?

Have they explained how you are supposed to turn the $3.5k over when they wont accept your bets?

I'd get in touch with Richard Irvine at @sothegreatgame, he might have some ideas.

Liquor and Gaming NSW are pathetic and gutless and won’t do a thing. Clearly they have every bookie making donations. They won’t even respond to emails.

Agree but if you are not going to allow a customer to place bets, they surely they also shouldn't be able to deposit funds.

They are allowed to place bets on some markets still, just not the ones they wanted to I guess.

Punter needs to get his money back but have no problems with customer service letting him know what a muppet he is for doing the same thing again

Got that email from Winnersbet word for word. They owe me $15k in winnings + my deposit. Already reported to VGCC and Racing Victoria, what's the likelihood I get anything?

Any response from Racing Vic yet? I'd get in touch with Richard Irvine, his twitter handle is above, he may have some ideas.

Racing Vic basically said they are looking into it. Just annoyed the hell out of me because I'm withdrawing back to the exact same account the funds came from. I don't see why I need to get certified bank statements or statutory declarations for them, it doesn't reasonably align with any of my actions.

Assuming it's you and not a bowler you will be fine
It's me, never gamble under anyone else's nor do I care to.

Yeah Zbet are the bottom of the barrel, absolutely terrible. There are some other BM books who i'd suggest steering clear of, however I wouldn't say as a blanket rule they are all bad.

From my own experiences/insights

stay away from: Zbet, Baggybet, Rob Waterhouse, UPCOZ

simply would not bother with these joints. Between getting blocked, stat dec'd, bets voided and anything else to avoid paying winnings, not worth it.

fine for punting (but may get promobanned if you use too many promos): Swiftbet, Okebet

these places will likely promo ban you if you are using too many of them however aren't as grubby and are fine if you just want to have a bet. Swiftbet have been fine to deal with. Okebet likewise. As long as you aren't bowling or whatever and are just having a bet haven't heard of any issues with those joints.
