last year i would have said pears but frawley has past him this year, really stepped up, bulked up, pears is a year behind so i would expect the same from him next year when he gets a bit of bulk. both will be guns surely frawley is in contention 4 all australian so far

Think you will find Pears is quite the solid unit now too.
And in response to who has Pears beaten, did you not watch a single bomber game last year? Had the job on the #1 forward just about every week.
Has done the job on Fev, Brown, Kosi, Mooney, Roughead just to name a few.

Reckon he probably watched more Bombers games than you did
melbourne last year. Frawley was very good last year and has been outstanding this year. He did give Pears a compliment but I guess you're one of the one eyed fans that thinks "Pears easily"...

Pears kept a fully-fit Brown goalless. Frawley kept a crippled Brown to 1 goal.

Gap widens in favour of Pears two weeks in a row following Frawley getting pantsed by Riewoldt.

EDIT: Touched up Browny who couldn't walk to the rooms at the end of the game.

Rate the kid, but come on, you can't claim this one.

why is that???
essendon and Pears will get spanked tomoz!

True, had a proper reaming did Brown. He can only play against who is their on the field. We'll claim it a win- because he won. You can't say it goes against him or is null and void.

Please.

Brown kept himself goalless that night, kicked something like 0.5 from memory.

Brown according to Voss tonight was fit. And was r*ped.

Best two KPD's in the league, but i'll take Frawley any day of the week and twice on Sundays thanks. :thumbsu:

5 scoring shots to 3. One was crippled, one was in full flight.

I'm sure if you asked Voss if he thought his side would get within 8 goals of Melbourne he would have said yes. He ain't always right.

Head is well and truly in the sand if you think Brown was fit.

I rate both of them, but the difference still remains that Pears is a class above Chip when he has the ball in hand. Any team would be happy to have either. Good to see the Demons supporters up and about a couple of rough years

Pears is a good young player, no doubt about it, would love to have him at Melbourne. But I don't really care if he is better than Frawley, if Frawley continues to improve like he has been then I'll be happy.

Voss has to say he was fit to justify his selection, as playing him injured risks further injury.

You can only beat who is put in front of you, and Frawley was superb, but everyone could see he was injured mate.

I'd say someone called Scarlett would have something to say about that. And Presti. And Lake. And Bock. And Taylor. Etc.

Young stars in the making no doubt, but not up there with those guys yet.

Woops, meant young KPD's. Scarlett and Lake are both definitely ahead of Frawley at the moment. I'd take Frawley after that though.

Long-term, so would I. But for right now, I'd take every one of those guys ahead of Frawley and Pears. No doubt these two are the two best young full-backs in the league though, actually Jamison would be up there too. Would love to have any of those guys are the Pies.

I'm not sure why there is this myth that Frawley isn't a good disposer of the ball. He's got an unorthodox kicking action but it's not too bad. He doesn't do hospital handpasses either.

I voted Pears but getting slaughtered by Cloke, he is not as good on the big running CHF

Didn't have a goal kicked on him all day in a side that got done by 65pts. Fair effort.
