On his 'Sports Guy' page on ESPN Page 2, Bill Simmons made a case for Red Sox legend, Carlton Fisk, getting hit by a pitch while batting which broke his protective cup (like a cricket box, I imagine) and ruptured a testicle. A reader responded to the challenge with:

the owner or whoever he was got it spot on with his assesment of what happened. Completely unneccessary and one of the stupidest and reckless things i have ever seen. Typical macho behaviour in a sport which is known for it. He should have been banned for 1 yr at the bare minumum.

I agree although i was thinking assault charges being laid as the bare minimum.
Dermot Brereton was rumoured to have broken his member while having his way with a lass in a hotel, when she slipped off the bar at the most inappropriate moment.

source is myself, I am a Lakes entrance local and pendlebury was first thrown out of the metung pub for pouring his beer over a girls head, then went on the winery cruise drunk flashing his dick and ass at everyone, then went from there to the central and was walking up to all the girls even when they were with there boyfriends telling us all that we "were goin home with him **** your boyfried do you know who i am" he was kicked out of the central aswell for being a dick head.. then tried to bribe his way back in by offering the bouncers some free tickets but the bouncers refused em. the guy who hit him did it cause pendlebury pinched his girlfriends ass then called her a s lut! maybe being hit from behind was wrong but he still deserved it!

I believe there is more to the story than was reported how much of your story can we all believe we will never know. Rarely does someone just get king hit from behind for no reason at all.
To king hit someone is a complete dog act and is not accepted at all, if the guy did wana take this up with pendleburry by fighting him, he should least be man enough to be face to face him.
In an Ashes test match, Geoff Thompson hit David Lloyd and snapped the box in half on his private parts.

I said in the other thread about the Pendlebury injury that it would be interesting to hear if there was anything leading up to the king hit, and now it makes a lot more sense....if it's true or not is another matter.... but speaking from experience it doesn't surprise me to hear of another AFL player talking himself up, asking people if they know who they are and getting locals offside.
I've even seen one of my Hawks doing the same thing in a pub(find it hard to cheer him now).
There's no need to belittle the poster too, or make personal jibes as they obviously believe what they are saying passionately, and until you come forward and disprove her story of events then your post is just as trustworthy as hers.
