There are some sick crime familys these 2 are up there.Fred already had killed 2 people before he married rosemary.He possibility killed hes own daughter and rose was hooking while fred watched.Fred was accused of raping hes other daughter.Its reported fred killed 12 while Rose killed 10 there house where these shocking crimes took place has been bulldozered down.

Like West, Rosemary came from a family where incest was common; Rosemary's father, Bill Letts, with Fred's approval, would often visit their home to have sex with Rosemary.

Heather's body was found under the patio that Fred had built over the fishpond dug by his son Stephen. Heather's murder indirectly led to the Wests' arrests almost seven years later.

I've read a book from the perspective of a woman who used to rent a room in that house of horrors.

It was "common knowledge" those two were the biggest loonies and you should keep away from them. She ended up escaping from the house, but then they kidnapped her after that, took her back there and raped her continuously for a day/night, until she escaped (again).

It's crazy they got away with that stuff for so long.

Read a book about these two a while back, was sickening. From what I recall Rosemary often took the lead in some of their more sadistic activities, which Fred was happy to go along with.

By the sounds of it, she probably suffered much of what they inflicted on others when she was young. Her father should bare just as much responsibility as her (if not more), but presumably he escaped justice.

The area where their house stood is now a walkway and partially grassed over. Have lived fairly near there.

Beats me how nobody heard all the noise with their (largish) house being terraced, admittedly end terrace. Right next to a Seventh-Day-Adventist Church on the other side. Immediately opposite, less than 15 yards away, more terraced houses across the fairly narrow road between. Surely someone must have heard?
