Frees for Faking????

I am in London on holiday for a month and as you all probably know Euro 2000 is on. I have found it interesting to see that players can get a yellow card if they are found to be faking to get free kicks.

Would this work in our great game, like when Matty Lloyd takes a tumble. (and yes I am a bomber fan)

I think that umps, know when this is happening and for this reason are more likely not to pay frees when they see faking, but how about penalising the player that is doing the faking.

I have not yet decided on if it's a good idea, I would like to hear your thoughts.

If the Umpire know they are faking and don't pay a free thats it. They can't do much lying on the ground? Some bloody Essendon supporter you are ! Watch Bell to see real faking it (no wonder he is top of the free kick list. Matty is not even in the top ten.

Matty is not on top of the free kick list anymore because the umpires know he is faking.Belly doesnt need to stage for a free kick to kick a goal he does plenty more around the ground not just kick goals. Matty has to kick a goal to get his name on the board and thats why he lies down so many times to get a free. Also have you niticed how long he takes to kick the thing throwing the grass up etc that is just to keep the camera on him for awhile longer. "I dont like being called pretty boy lloyd" well guess what every chance we get thats what we will call him

There is no way it'll go ahead.

One things for sure, it would result in Essendon losing the free kick tally every week and it would probably put an end to Lloyds, Longs and Hirds carreers instantly.

LOL, Scott West is at the bottom of every pack with half the opposing team into his back and trying to rip his head off. That's how he earns his free kicks. He is not a faker and there has never been any suggestion that he is.
