Both teams were reborn in those respective seasons. If the teams were to face off, who would win?

Note - this is not a poll to decide who IMPROVED more. FWIW, I would probably say Fremantle would win. Interested to hear others' thoughts.

OMFG I did again, really sorry mods, please add a poll.

Freo were touted as a top 4 team and Pavlich, Sandilands, Barlow and Mundy were destroying teams.

Bump. I wonder if people's feelings are still the same (Freo leading the poll 17-5).

I think free 2010 but we didn't come off a wooden spoon. Eagles very impressive this year. As long as we beat u in the derby ;)

Ill go with the Eagles. We beat Freo by 80 odd points last year, and lost to the Eagles by 123 this year :o.
Plus coming from wooden spoon last year, to, imo, a top 4 finish this year is an amazing feat.

It was 82 points. I look forward to our 205 point drubbing of Freo later in the year :thumbsu:

I find it very hard to be objective about Freo, I mark them much harder than other clubs so I would say West Coast. Our first 1/3 was very good last year and we broke some hoodoos but I'm more impressed by WC ability to win in Melbourne consistently against the better teams. We ran Saints all the way last year at Etihad when they were in cracking form and that's as about as happy as I've ever been with a Freo loss. I don't know how that compares with WC handling Carlton at the same venue this year.
Next Derby should be interesting. I doubt WC can play with the same intensity as they did in the last one. It just isn't possible to sustain that sort of work rate over a year unless you ship half your team off to Cryogenic tanks in the Nevada desert every few weeks and renew their blood with freshly killed Snow Leopards.
