Its ok I am not talking about the Fremantle dockers I am talking about the Town of Fremantle.
The modern day players to come out of there are pretty special. If a team was created It would rival the Brisbane lions no problems.
And yes I realise I didnt put this team together so Ill just quote what Miss i_luv_westcoast said

;) ;)

H. Backs: J.Clement G.Jakovich Pe.Matera

Midfield: D.Kerr S.Black S.Woewodin

H. Forwards: P.Haselby T.Gaspar D.Chick

Forwards: Ph.Matera L.McPharlin D.Rioli

Inter: C.McGrath M.Carr A.Sampi A.McGrath

Lockyer wasn't originally from WA thats why I didn't include him.

Strong midfield. Good defence. Crap forward line. Even worse bench.
There is no way that team would rival the Brisbane Lions.

Ahh Macca I was waiting for your to reply.

Cousins,Black,Bell,Woewodien,Haelby,Josh Carr,Kerr in the midifeld would be quite simply unbeatable.
Yes forward line is a little weak on but hey with a midfield like that who cares.

I could be wrong but i heard that East Freo has had more players drafted from it than any other club in Oz with the latest charlie recipient ....S. Black coming from the heart of EF territory in Bullcrek/Leeming.

Might be. I think Murray Bushrangers have more current players.

This is pointless. half these guys aren't even from Fremantle. They might be in the East Freo/South Freo zones, but, as you said in your first sentence, you are talking about the Town of Fremantle. You are misleading a lot of people who would assume all these players grew up in the Freo area. Simply not true.

Materas - Wagin (country)
Black - Leeming/Bullcreek (this is not considered a part of Freo)
Chick - Geraldton (country)
Rioli - (Northern Territoryy)

That's only the few that I know. I know Gaspar is from Spearwood (which would be considered a part of Freo), but I bet there are many others that aren't Freo born and bread.

Absolutely stupid post. It's basically like saying everyone who lives south of the river in Perth and all those people in the Easts/Souths zones are from Freo. Pfft!

Bunsen was right Sabre, but if you did should have regarded your post to the East Fremantle and South Fremantle WAFL teams.

Some of the junior sides in the area have contibuted Woosha, Jackovich(s), Sumich, Watters as Eagles. There are some others, but I prefer to have my facts right first.

Is that the Melbourne Club or the teams there?

I agree.....fantastic midfield and a strong defence but the forward line isnt that great. The only genuinely good forward is Phillip Matera.

Basically what Bunsen said.

But if you change your thinking to the Teams from Fremantle, then yep, definately a very stong breeding ground.

Was there supposed to be some correlation to the Dockers? Or was this a Sabre-the-staunch-WAussie thread? :)

Ummm if we're talking about the richest vein of football talent to come out of one non AFL side it has to be the pre 1997 Port Adelaide. I don't think any other 2 sides outside the comp stack up. Those blokes have been churning out champs like its a production line.

If Lockyer isn't included then why Black given he came from Mt Isa?

Not only wouldn't they beat Brisbane, they wouldn't beat any of the top 4 sides this year. They also wouldn't beat Essendon with a full list. At best that would put them 6th.
