Alex Pearce
has done an admirable job since he stepped in in place of Nat Fyfe in 2022, leading us to the finals in that year, and bouncing back from a poor season in 2023 to AA quality form in 24/25 that has been cruelly cut down down by injury, as is the unfortunate story of his career. He’s a deep thinker of the game and has been a great spokesperson for the club.
His injuries have given us a look at Caleb Serong
as captain, one of my favourite players, and someone I always thought could lead us given his unbridled fierceness and passion for the club.
But the time has come for us to make this decision once and for all and for it to stick long term, and that man is clearly, without a doubt Andrew Brayshaw. He deserves to be the leader of this club going forward and we deserve him, he embodies the way we want to play in every way and what the next era of the Dockers should look like. He speaks well, inspires others, and plays hard. Enough said - the time has come for the baton to be passed.
Who do you think should captain us next year and into the future?

I think we should be asking the question after the season is over.
