Biggest priorities/concerns will be Luke Ryan & Brennan Cox, but aside from those two it looks a fairly stress free contract year.

I can't imagine Banfield, Dixon, Carter or Valente will provide much resistance in negotiations. Bewely & Schultz will need to show a bit more IMO, but we're still in a good position to negotiate with them if needed.

Brandon Matera is a tricky one, he's 28 next year and we wouldn't want to be offering a contract for him deep into his 30's, but he'd be pushing for a three year deal at the very least.

Cox might prove problematic because he probably feels he needs more opportunity (rightly or wrongly) so there may be a few clubs that are willing to sell him on the idea of a specific role and game time.

Luke Ryan is a player every club would be inquiring into and they'd be offering him good money as well.

I'm only updating the master sheet during the off season, the age, weight, state of origin etc aren't going to be updated until the list is finalised.

Interested in how our list at the end of next year will be looking.

mundy to go probably.
guys like Crowden, Giro, Schultz, Bewley, Duman and Hughes will be very nervous I’d say

Crowden, Giro, Duman, and Hughes are signed up for 2021. If we're cutting contracts short Colyer should be one of the first to go. Banfield and McCarthy should be in the nervous group as well

Their is talk that list sizes will be reduced to 35 with no rookie lists next year and 30 in 2022.

With so many young players are we in better position going forward because teams will have a handful of development players.

If we go with 3 draft picks, we will need to cut 15 players.

We may want to cut further as their will a lot of delisted free agents to choose from.

The other option is trade players out if they have any value.

Let’s say we cut the 9 Rookie Listed players, that leaves us to cut or trade out 6 players from the main list.

Where is this talk coming from mate?

FWIW i think its an atrocious idea for the league, reducing list sizes for a 22 week + finals season is going to be really difficult for clubs to manage.

It would need to be done with some "injury dispensation" which allows clubs to top up 2-3 times a season to allow for injuries.
We routinely have over 8 on our injury list so list of 30 seems untenable.

West Coast’s original list was 35 and at one point they had 17 fit players.

I agree that 35 is too small and 30 is a nightmare.

Getting rid of the rookie list in the short term seems like a good cost cutting experience without sacrificing too much.

They can't go to the 30 players, what if you get 9 injuries?
