Mentoring role seems to me as undermining the coach.

In that saying, I believe is that you should aim to get the best people in their best roles off field.

Neil Balme wasn’t the greatest coach but as a Football manager he has been the flag magnet.

I would be getting in Worsfold not as a mentor for JL but more the Neil Balme role.

Sure that means moving Or adjusting Bells role.

the fact he hasnt turned to a life of crime and/or drugs is testament to worsfold's immense physical and mental strength. one only needs to look at the last few essendon coaches to see what taking the top job at tullamarine does to people.
Certainly no armchair ride like some coaching positions.
