Statistically speaking, you could not ask for a couple of closer matched teams! Hopefully that is where the similarities end :)
I have a bit of respect for Brisbane, probably stemming from the Hat Trick of premierships where they essentially shoved it right up the Vics. We all like to see that.
The last few seasons have been poor for both of us. Both sides re-building, or in our case, re-stumping and re-wiring. I am a little surprised that Brisbane have only won one game, they look better than that at times. Many of their loses have been well fought out....except the Richmond game, but then we cant talk ;)
This game will be a good test for us and our development. We should win...but then we should have beaten them last year and look what happened :( !!
I am eagerly awaiting the team announcement....Will Balla's play?!! Will Son Son come back in?!! Is AP's thumb still attached??!!!
Tough call to make on picking a winner....Sports bet paying $4 for a Brisbane win. Not a bad bet for a 2 horse race.
All things considered, I think we can win this. Us by 19 points :)

I'm heading over for my first home game of the year, we had better bloody well win!

Freo by 90.
oh yeah? well I'm heading over for my first home game for 20 years*, so Freo by 100 Godzillion

* I may be Big Kev excited so please excuse the pissing contest

Brisbane have been a little down in their performances after a gritty hard fought start to their season.

Freo by 39 points after a close first half.

What Power Raid said,I'm thinking a 5-6 goal victory.Sandi,Fyfe,Neale,Blakely,Mundy & Brayshaw will take total control of the midfield imo.

Cerra & Brayshaw to both get 9 in the coaches votes.

Hamling, to keep on doing what he does best.

SHill to be seen striding regularly over a bump on the oval, ....... bam bam.

Goals to be evenly spread over all forward players, to make sure we don’t rely on one person.

Brissie are building nicely, but are a bit injury riddled at present.

Taking my Dad who has never been to an AFL match in his life. He goes for the Lions but has a soft spot for the Dockers.

I reckon it will be a close, hard fought game early but as the game goes on our run will open them up and we will have a comfortable 36 point win.

Possible they might have a couple coming back in Mitch Robinson and Daniel McStay (who would be a replacement for the injured Harris Andrews).

Overall their squad seems a lot more mature than ours and their high draft picks from the last two or three seasons have played more games than our youngsters.

Less than a goal.

Dockers comfortably. Lions away and injuries to key players + kids (Rayner Bailey) looking tired. On the plus side we may get McStay and Robinson back. Thinking Dockers by 20 points

The form after the bye theory hasn't really effected us too much in the last couple of years. In 2016 we went up to NT after the bye and lost by 20 points to Melbourne with a pretty terrible side and last year we came back from the bye and lost by 2 points to Geelong in Geelong.

We're returning from the bye at home against a side that has just lost one of their best players.

I expect we should win a good contest.

Fremantle to win by a cricket score
