Brisbane haven't been playing as bad as their win / loss record suggests.

I think we will still win but it will be closer than most seem to think. Losing Andrews to that stupid act isn't doing them any favors as well.

I'm thinking Freo by 3 goals

We should win this in a canter. That is not a fact at all. Beams, Martin, Hodge, Zorko, Bastinac, McCluggage, Rayner, Hipwood, Taylor, Christensen. They have some elite players and some good players. It does drop off significantly, however they have shown they are competitive - a bit like us.

We win this match, we have a slim shot at the 8. That should be enough to get us the chocolate drinks.

Taking my 6yr old to his first lions match pretty excited for him although not expecting a win with our recent injuries would be happy if we can stay within five goals freo pretty good at home looking forward to our first look at the new stadium
I remember my first match with my Dad. Took me to the gabba to watch the eagles lose by 100pts.

Good times

Freo and Bris both have very similar stats for the season (except wins).

I still think we should get up but if this was at the Gabba I would not be so confident.

The loss of Andrews was a severe blow (in more ways than one) . He was in All Australian form ,If you named the AA team mid season he would have been in my team for sure , In my opinion the form defender of the comp at the minute . Very hard to replace

I am sure you both will enjoy the experience as it is truly world class.

He will enjoy all the activities that occur outside the ground as well (play grounds, bouncy castle etc etc) so come early.

When you go with a mate see if there is an option to upgrade your ticket as access to the supporters rooms (including for an opposition only room) is well worth the expense and you may hear a former Brisbane player or current (non playing) speak.

Not so sure we are competitive, but don't know how to win at the moment but reckon that will change dramatically in next couple of years think both sides may are in fairly similar positions freo slightly up on us with bit more depth

We're fielding a decent side on paper and there's some genuine pressure from Peel now. Duman and Hill specifically. They may want to have a look at Darcy, North, Hughes types. Crowden may get another look in.

Hoping we can smash them out of the middle and put it on the scoreboard. Andrews out is massive for them, he basically single handedly repels attacks.

Higgins had 20 touches and have the Vic media gushing, so that's the barometer with regards to Rising Star.

Good day for it.

Be interesting to see how the youngsters on our lists compare to each other, a lot of potential elite talent on show today.

McCluggage, Berry, Rayner, Witherden, Hipwood. V Cerra, Brayshaw, Banfield, Tucker, Cox.

Hopefully we have some more meaningful clashes over the next decade.

A.Pearce and Hipwood will be a clash of the titans in 3-4 years time.
