+ A Pierce. Seriously you could see the look of shock on his face when he got to ball from where I was sitting and to make such good decisions and execute skills as he did is incredibly promising. Needs a couple of kegs and hes good to go. Even if he never improves his skills he'll be Rance level.

+ Clancee, this guy is generally regarded as in our worst 6 without much discussion. But what we are getting out of him is what we got out of our worst 6 in 2013. Excellent

+ Zarke for me was awesome today. I think the best ruckman on the day though not as influential as Sandi (does that make sense?). Hes really getting those hands going and his stuff below his knees is getting borderline elite for his size.

+ Johnno man, Johnno is the best backline general in the game at this stage of the season. Seriously does this guy even need to try footy is so easy for him.

+ Ballas is back thank god. I thought he might have been carrying something nasty after last week but hes good to go.

+ Neale. I was at the game with my sister that watched exactly zero footy. She said Neale was the best player on the ground. I got to agree.

+ Fyfe. Did Fyfe stuff.

+ Defence. Ibbo, Spurr and Duffman, our defence could beat the all Australian forward line.

- I am am massive Sonny fan. I think the Sonny up the ground test SHOULD happen but maybe next year. Our mids generate so much power through their cores and lower body I just dont think Sonny is physically ready yet. He will get there though. He is so hard at it but the ducking has to go, the umps just arent calling those anymore.

- Heppel is overrated.

Thought Duffield was a little bit quiet, but did a few good things in the last quarter when needed

To anyone that still thinks Clancee isn't best 22

C.Pearce has cemented his spot with super-glue. He's becoming so dependable, excellent user and good decision maker. He's got the HBF/wing/3rd man/behind the square midfielder whatever it is position bedded down pat. Really liking his game more and more. Always thought an injury free C.Pearce would make us a better side. Loving his game.

anyone with a link to the full post match presser?
Well, I've just seen a bit and read the rest. He's an intimidating guy RTB and I wouldn't want to be firing questions at him - he sure knows how to belittle. But hey, he's king of Perth right now so who am I ...

Ecstatic with Clarke's development, his marking is beautiful to watch now.

I'll add this about Clarke, when supposed class players like Walters and DPearce were butchering their inside 50s in the last 1/4, Clarke running in lowered his eyes hit a beautiful measured pass to a leading Pav. Just one little moment, but that sort of thing is becoming more the norm than the exception - good stuff.

What's this about?

Go to http://www.fremantlefc.com.au/news/2015-05-10/ross-lyon-postmatch-q-a-round-6 to watch our press conference. Starts in the middle, runs for a minute then tells me to visit the AFL site to watch the rest. Go to the AFL site... no press conference
Got the freo app on your phone? It's working fine on there :)

- Dawson to play for Peel next week
- Luke said on Thursday that he won't play. Lyon says if Luke says hes ready to go next week, then that's great
- Knew A. Pearce was capable of that type of performance
- First three quarters were super, not fussed by the last term

That was the main stuff.

Any review threads like this just need to reference Ross's press conferences. All the insight and answers are there. He is one of the best if not the best in cutting through the bullshit and nailing the essence of the game we just played. The rest of the information on these threads is mainly our anxieties

- thought the wrestle for midfield supremacy in the 1st and 2nd was cracking footy. They turned up with the intention of stopping us early but we still managed to get on top.

- both C & D Pearce were elite.

- RTB clearly doesn't tell us to take the foot of the pedal but he shifts our structure enough that we do. Smart mofo.

- crowd getting behind A Pearce was beautiful.

- Bucket loads of upside for Ballas and Walters.

- Bomber Thompson had a big whinge about Freo putting the cue in the rack and that it was crap to watch. Thought he should try to keep his shit in check when commentating.

- on a day of upsets, we refused to be scalped.

- 6-0 baby!!

This :thumbsu:. Seriously was aggravating listen to Bomber waffle on about it being unattractive blah blah blah. Part of me was thinking "when you have played/coached a team that travels every second week, and are coming off a six day break, then I might listen to your opinion"

That is the second time we have had to listen to him commentate - the first was for Geelong, and that was equally painful to my ears.

That and don't ask ross about Freo being the bookies favourites for the premiership.

My favorite bit was when the journo asked him what he thought of Freo being the bookie's Premiership favorites for the first time. Ross chuckled, exchanged banter with the journo whom he seems to have some history with and then returned to the subject later in the presser with a little pearl "It's not our job to commentate on bookies' markets and that....I just find that not quite deep enough for me."

Mr Mayweather, you may have the jewellery and all the fruit, but no one delivers uppercuts like RTB.

Actually, I didn't find him too bad in the Geelong game and I'm not one to really complain about the commentary in general, but that was bad. I'm not a fan of King's analysis most of the time, but was glad to hear him say that it's basically just the nature of football in 2015. If you want to win consistently, you are going to have to take these opportunities to cruise.

Hey can someone post a link to the presser. Every link I've hit takes me to the 1minute long snippet

Exactly. What a stupid question, I think it was Brayden Quartermaine. Didn't Braydon notice that Coll were the bookies favourites to win this week, as were the Bullies and Hawks. It's round 6, means nothing!

I don't mind biased commentators. But it only makes sense when they are backing the home team. I.e. Mark Ricciuto pumping up the Crows in Adelaide. To me, it adds to the whole home advantage thing.

But it's just plain grating to have Bomber come over here and whine like that. Our problem is that there aren't any ex-Freo commentators to balance things out. WA biased commentator would be Basil Zem... ugh.

At least people like Kingy know a good team when they see one. Dermie seems to get it. I think Dunstall is getting on the wagon too.

What was with essendons game plan. All night they kicked sideways to the boundary when they clearly had better options 45 degrees ahead or even in the corridor. Too many little 20 metre kicks that they aren't skilled enough to pull off. Hird obviously thinks they've recruited a la hawthorn.

Thought all the pearces were good last night.
