Darcy averages 34 hitouts per game this year - 13th in the league, two per game less than Gawn, one less than Martin and more than Goldy, Kreuzer, McEvoy and Smith.

Wright averages five...
Lol five :\ he was clearly put in there as "competition" for ruck position for Darcy

Hit outs are a vastly overrated stat. How many were to advantage? How do his numbers on disposals, contested marks, goals scored compare the the others on that list?

If Liam Ryan get pick , I will choose him .
He'll be 21 before January 1 2018 - so will unfortunately be ineligible.

He seems to have better first year stats then nearly everybody (except perhaps goals, but he played full time main ruck in losing sides mostly). Sandi, Cox, Madden, NicNat, Kreuzer, Mumford, Goldstein, Gawn, quite a few decent names. And a lot of those were older as well...

Brodie Grundy had good first year stats as a 19 year old in 2013. Not as many hit outs as Sean but maybe better around the ground stats. He, of course, got a rising star nom in his 5th game for his body of work.
