Wozniaki has the draw opening up nicely for her in my view. One of the quiet achievers and is solid enough to get to a final. Tomic was deplorable...that said...he gains points despite his loss and he will get a discretionary seeding at Wimbledon, so a seed of around 20 going into Wimbledon is good.

Woz eliminated by Kaia Kanepi :thumbsu:

The depth in the mens game beyond the top 10 is absolutely ridiculous. This has been the most boring slam i have ever seen (maybe because of the draw).Prior to the quarterfinals, there hasnt been that many worthwhile matches.Maybe Isner Mathieu was good, but thats all i can think about.A big Meh

I see your point and I think you can also say just how strong the top of the mens game has been the last few years.

Out of the last 30 grand slams there has only been one winner outside of Nadal, Federer and Djokovic (Del Potro). That really is an amazing statistic and I doubt anything like that has happened before in tennis.

Looking at the draw on the mens side and all top 8 seeds are still left on the mens side whereas only 5 are left on the womens side.

None of the top 4 seeds have had to face a seed going into the 4th round, but it gets more difficult from here (still no seed for Federer in the 4th round). Who has been most impressive so far? Nadal for me. Fed has been shaky, Djokovic doing well so far.

Great to see Tsonga and Gasquet still in their home slam. Hoping the can both do something special and make a semi or final. How long has it been since a Frenchmen made the final?

Schaivone also out. :thumbsu: the two matches I wanted to watc tonight are on last stosur vs stephens and berdych vs del potro.

Sharapova in fine form hopfully she complete the career grand slam here. That is of course if Sam loses.

Same here. I will watch Azarenka v Cibulkova tonight and hopefully Cibulkova can win. Just had a look at the H2H stats for Azarenka and Stosur and Sam has only got more than 3 games in a set once in 12 sets.

Stosur vs Stephens is on the main court tomorrow instead of Azarenka vs Cibulkova

NBC shows the last few hours of their weekend coverage do obivously they wanted the American, wouldn't be surprised if the crowd has filtered out to watch Berdych/del Potro, nice draw for Sam.

Gasquet/Murray has potential to be a good one if richie plays like he did last night.

It blows the Del Potro v Berdych match is on last. 3 straights sets wins and they may get on at a semi watchable time.

Wawa v Tsonga on the other court should be a decent lead in for it.

No WTA chokefests, pretty please.

I have actually become a huge fan of Kerber this year. Hopfully she takes out Eranni next round.

She has got a great solid game. I'm actually a fan of the way Martic plays, refreshing type of player that is an aggressive player but doesn't necessarily ball bash and can volley quite nicely. Kerber was a bit too big tonight though.

Cibulkova takes the first set 6-2 against azarenka. Come on Dominka!!

I'm actually enjoying the Seppi vs Djokovic match. Seppi takes e first 6-4. :thumbsu:

Upset in the opening set of both matches. Definitely don't want to jinx Stosur, but if Azarenka loses today the path to the final is set up very well for her.

Now that I have said that, I am bound to be disappointed.

Djokovic sliced 3 bh's in that last rally, not a shot he hits all that often. He has also lost his footing 3 times. Was 3-0 up and lost 6 of the next 7 games. Interesting.

Kuznetsova out surprises me, I seriously thought she would make the final. Errani takes over from ugly head Schiavone as the one I can't stand, loopy rubbish for 2 hours!

I thought so too but Kuznetsova does this all the time she has never lived up to her potential just doesnt have it mentally like most of the womens draw.

Seppi putting up a good fight, can't see him winning though

Anyone just hear Woodforde say something about Novak's dad along the line of "when his dad is f***ing there....."

Woodforde's microphone was off, but you could hear it through possibly Stolle's mic. Very unprofessional.
