Shame that's how it ended - thought Alcaraz was playing the better tennis in the 2nd and 3rd set (before the injury). Djokovic looked laboured and Alcaraz was using the drop shot extremely well. Looked like he was just overwhelming Novak with his power. There was still plenty of tennis left but I would have had him winning this match and the final if that cramp didn't happen

Nadal overcame his.
Alcaraz has a title already. Problem is Novak sticking around. The man wants 25 before he retires

Novak could get 26-28 but think that’s it. Assuming he gets Wimbledon a few times

Credit to Carlos for not throwing in the towel. Big respect. Guy is going to be an unbelievable champion.

Just needs slams to be BO3....

But in all seriousness, surely his team need to work on preparations/hydration before matches because yes it was a tough day and it was intense tennis but that's not what happens to a champion.

He's still young

If Coco Gauff wins a grand slam,

You have to put her as your avatar for a month. deal?

Yeah no problem very confident on that one and if she doesn’t you have to put Novak as yours lol

Is it too late to have neither Zverev or Ruud in the final, and put Rune in there instead?🤣

Yes it is too late and Rune has the same issue he’s not there as a 5 set player yet he’s probably a year behind Alcaraz

Yeah, neither have a shot but Zverev can at least serve big while Ruud will get routined.
Ruud at his best though, on clay, can play pretty incredible tennis. He was dismantling Rune in Rome before he imploded. Who‘s to say one of these days he wont redline for an entire match? Could happen.
