Sure but the guys ranked 100 odd aren’t going far in slams that’s a two week break or at least one. I mean adm gets most of the second week off anyway. Look at the way Carlos does it- he missed Madrid to have a break. Cane back refreshed and won the lead in. You can’t be whinging whilst at the same time playing mickie mouse tournaments you are a top 10 player you’ve earnt the right to schedule properly.

ADM has the other thing his putrid game style makes him spend twice as long on court when he should be winning in under an hour.

Scheduling is almost as important as playing these days.

Not sure Carlos is a great example at the moment. Had 40 unforced errors in three sets, against a 32 year old, nearly retired, and injured player last night. Made Dzumhur look like Sinner.

His scheduling is a good example and Dzumhur is a fantastic clay courter very tricky matchup

Regardless of how tricky it was, Damir is barely top 100, will be 33 later in the year and also has some shocking games on clay this season in ATP250 tournaments.

Carlos will have to play a lot better against Shelton, or he could be in for a rude surprise. Can't believe he's paying $8.50

Carlos has done what any good player goes knows when to turn it on. Shelton might get a set if he servebots very good chance on the grass though.

He was down a break in the fourth set, had nearly 50 unforced errors in four sets, to a 32 year old player who had a dodgy leg and left hand, a player who struggled by losing in a second round of a ATP250 clay to 150 ranked player earlier in the year.

It was exciting game, and Dzumhur certainly played well above his level last night, but it nearly went to 5th set. They game went for 3.5 hours last night, that may cost Carlos later in the tournament. I'd worry just getting past Shelton at this stage.
