Nothing like a win to fill out the voting numbers. Very close all considered but it was Fyfe who managed to split away and was considered our BOG, not far behind was Blakely and the new boy Wilson who backed up a solid first game last week with another top 3 showing (and was also the player who had the most voters voting for him). Well done to them. Here are the rest of the numbers.

Rnd 2 vs Essendon
Score Name - Votes (Number of People who Voted)

7 Nathan Fyfe - 227 (67)
6 Connor Blakely - 191 (66)
5 Nathan Wilson - 185 (69)
4 Matthew Taberner - 152 (64)
3 David Mundy - 101 (38)
2 Alex Pearce - 96 (45)
1 Luke Ryan - 76 (38)
1 Michael Walters - 32 (18)

Good win again for the boys in purple. This time it wasn't so close at the top with Fyfe comfortably taking out the BOG spot, though quite tight after that. We're starting to remember what we missed in Alex Pearce with another top performance and was voted into 2nd place and McCarthy had a solid day too and rounded out the top three, but only just ahead of Walters and Ryan. Well done to them all! Here are the numbers:

Rnd 3 vs Gold Coast
Score Name - Votes (Number of People who Voted)

7 Nathan Fyfe - 320 (66)
6 Alex Pearce - 177 (61)
5 Cam McCarthy - 101 (47)
4 Michael Walters - 98 (39)
3 Luke Ryan - 87 (47)
2 David Mundy - 64 (28)
1 Ed Langdon - 59 (33)
1 Bailey Banfield - 52 (26)

Indicates what different games we watch.

SHilly, 3rd I think in the coaches.
We didn't rate him top 15 or so.

Rnd 2 was the big one. I think I gave him a vote off memory - but there was that turnover that cost a goal and, as fans, I reckon that took the shine off a good game for many. Plus we've got two new(ish) toys - Wilson and Blakely, playing in similar roles and they always seem to draw attention from us fickle fans more than the old heads. Also a couple of games that have had even performances contributes a bit to that too.

Usually the Coaches votes aren't that far off what we see, early days, might even out eventually.

Long haired Champs.
From me I think I watch SHilly complete all sorts of terrific efforts throughout a game.
However when I go to put together 'best 5 or 6' I somehow forget him because he's been a resident of that address for so long.

Tough game all round and big losses usually makes it harder to pick the better players. Having said that, Mundy was picked by most voters as he seemed to be able to contribute wherever he went. Hill also had a good game in tough conditions and these two stood out in the votes. The rest of the numbers fell like this:

Rnd 4 vs GWS
Score Name - Votes (Number of People who Voted)

7 David Mundy - 130 (31)
6 Stephen Hill - 109 (29)

Fyfe was good as ever last week and, along with Walters, comfortably topped our voting. Sandilands continued his good form this season and rounded out our top three. As is often the case in a win, it was very even after that with voters picking from a bunch of players that all had solid games. The numbers fell like this:

Score Name - Votes (Number of People who Voted)

7 Nathan Fyfe - 241 (51)

Losses are never fun, but a silver lining of sorts was good games from players that we've not seen at the absolute top of the voting so far this year. Langdon was considered our BOG for the day with Neale also polling well. Ryan lead a defensive unit that had a lot of work to do and rounded out our top 3. The overall numbers fell like this:

Rnd 6 vs West Coast
Score Name - Votes (Number of People who Voted)

Often in a big loss its hard to pick out good players. That wasn't quite the case this time, especially as far as the BOG was concerned. Fyfe stood out by a mile and comfortably topped the voting this week. After that, it was Hamling and Neale who stood out among the votes . The overall numbers fell like this:

Rnd 7 vs Richmond
Score Name - Votes (Number of People who Voted)

7 Nathan Fyfe - 174 (35)
6 Joel Hamling - 77 (25)

Solid win was just the tonic this week, admedly against a so-so side, but no game is a gimmie in the AFL. Fyfe's season continues to ride good form and once again comfortably held top spot, though he wasn't quite on his own as he was last week with Langdon in particular right up there in the vote getting stakes. Another solid game from Sandi has him rounding out the top 3.

Slim pickings in last week's game kept voting numbers down. As it turned out, fairly unanimous pick for our BOG in poor game overall with Langdon continuing on his good form comfortably topping our votes. A tight pack of three followed Ed with Ryan just pipping Wilson to round out the top three.
