With Pick 34 Geelong take Jake Riccardi (Tall Forward/VFL) (Personal Ranking: 67)

Reasoning: While it may be odd taking a bloke I rank at 67 this early, I tend to put mature agers lower down the pecking order out of habit. In reality I think Riccardi is the best tall forward in this draft and I was tossing up if Geelong really need him or not given the acquisition of Nathan Kreuger. I think that Jake is plug and play however and has a lot of upside. He was awarded the VFL Rising Star and is a near certainty to be drafted at this point. From a Freo Perspective, we're not gonna draft him because of our abundance of talls but he wouldn't be the worst thing to happen to the club

Cooper Sharman; I see Collingwood as needing some tall forwards and inside mids. There are a few potential KPFs but Sharman looks like he has the most upside. He is fast with a good leap and an accurate shot for goal. Probably never makes it to Key Position status but can still become an important factor in the forward line.

With my next pick, Geelong select Trey Ruscoe (General Defence/Western Australia) (Personal Ranking: 33)

Reasoning: Trey is someone who could be an absolute flop or pick of the draft in my eyes. He's someone I see long term moving into the midfield or perhaps onto the wing. He's a beauty of a mark and could easily bully opponents in the contest. I went all over the board with my picks (Speedy mid, small forward, speedy defender, tall forward, big bodied utility) and think he might be the final piece to a puzzle here. From a Freo perspective I really hope we draft this kid, on potential alone I'd rate him in the top 20.
