Interesting read below, Sydney seem to just pip us on most of the stats though.

Fremantle enters the finals with the seventh-best attack, averaging 0.2 points less than the sixth-ranked Geelong. The Dockers rank only ninth for inside 50s, but it’s their efficiency once inside 50m that allows them to score.

While they hog the corridor going forward, Fremantle afford no such luxuries to their rivals when defending. The Dockers allow the opposition to hit the corridor with only 35 per cent of their entries — four per cent lower than any other side.

Using the same scoring efficiency measurement, Fremantle coughs up only 71.5 points per 50 minutes of footy in their defensive half — ranked second behind this week’s opponent Sydney.

Yes read this today. Very interesting. I am so pumped for this game.Ross was born for underdog games like this.Cannot wait till this man finally wins a flag.Would love it to be this year as Allan Joyce is presenting something to the winning coach and I have heard Ross talk about him a bit.Must have a lot of time for him would be a magic moment.Make it happen freo!

Yeah I remember RTB laughing when asked about the state of the game with Clarkson. He clearly knows that regardless of the stats or vision Freo are regarded as being overly defensive. Just have to poke your head out of the Freo boards for two seconds to see that people think what they are told to think. Reports like this one will catch on slowly until zombies like Darcy begin regurgitating them. By the time we are seen as the team we actually are I'm sure the game plan would have changed again anyway.
Almost rather have the surprise on our side

beetz just make sure when posting news articles you leave a link and don't quote the whole article, just important bits. I've fixed the OP for you.

No problems, will keep in mind for next time. I only posted the whole article because the Superfooty site is subscription based so those who haven't paid might not be able to view.

But keep that hush hush ;)

Maybe all the Sutcliffe haters should take a look at the videos and see just how important he is to the team with his run and link up out of defense.

Him, Neale and Taberner are the biggest changes to our side from last year. Sutcliffe has gone from sub to a vital link in the chain, Neale has become an important ball winner and Taberner's role up forward is self evident

sorry but tabs still needs to prove himself more consistently as he only plays halves

Who would win? Freo 2013 v Dockers 2014

The only problem I have with this article is that the player best at choosing when to attack through the middle from defence is out for the rest of the year.

Watching that first clip you posted clogged, that highlights to me that Crozier really should be viewed as a midfielder/HHF rather than a forward pocket. That kick he executes to Neale is ridiculous. It takes him all of a second to receive the handball and kick 25m inboard perfectly between two Cats players with the outside of his left boot. That is the type of skill we need to carry out this game plan.

Indeed. Duffield to step up after a quiet few weeks for mind.

His quick hands in the second clip are also pretty ridiculous.
