I hope everyone sees after this game just why i'm so high on Dennis Armfield. Anyone got a copy of the 22? If not any idea when it will be announced?
Yeah I hope DA gets a run over there as well..... he was hoping for it too!!!!
I just expect the young kids to get some game time.
Players like A O'hAilpin, Armfield, Gibbs, Hampson, Kruezer, Murph, Anderson...will have this trip to either gain some good preseason work or experience as they all should be our future.
The result is not important, but the output of each player is and Ratten putting his game plan in place.
The more senior players probably won't play, but the youngsters and the fringe players need to show something.
I think the trip is more important than the game. Ratten has said on many times that the trip is about bonding, something that didn't happen under Pagan. So if the boys can get away from all the media and bond and gel we can expect a lot more in 2008.
Over the years we have seen a lot on individuals player for Carlton, its now time to all be equal and share the load.

Won't be 22. will be 16 on the field plus an 8 man bench. Also apparently players can be changed at half time.
Really hope Armfield plays but someone said he hurt himself in the practice match. Anyone know anything more about this?
pretty sure there were going to be 32 players used . As you said 8 on the bench with 16 on the field and then a 1/2 time changeover of 16 players meaning only 8 players will play the whole game . Freo will probably win this one but some of our recruits and youngsters could provide an interesting spectacle . Bring on round 1 .

I don't have any high expectation from the group in South Africa. All I want is for the team to come home safe and fit for the upcoming season.

At training on Wednesday, he wasn't with the main group and a lady called out to him asking what was the matter, where he replied saying he had hurt his groin (and possibly another niggle, can't remember). He was running if I recall, so hopefully it's nothing serious.

there was a thread before saying it will be a delayed telecast on the day of the game but will be late at night on foxtel
but i just checked the foxtel guide on the net and couldnt find anything yet!

I'm hoping that our kids give a good account of themselves, and guys like Grigg, Hamspon, Anderson, Browne, Armfield, Aisake impress. Hopefully Foxtel will pick up the coverage.
