Abysmal team selections, really poor preparation during the week, really poor game plan, really poor gameday coaching.

But of course it was all injuries and bad umpiring that cost us this one.

Easily the most protected coach in the comp, about time the true reviews of this coaching scheme and 5 years of stifling negative pointless game structure were truly aired.

Worst part is before the "Longmuir system" so many of our younger players have such joy, drive and pure attacking skill. But no, lets keep JOM in the centre square, with Banfield always in the team, and turn MJ into a slogging behind the play space occupier who is instructed to maintain space and run away from contests.

Just no heat on JLo at all is just bizarre, with Gar-lick leaving to go back to the AFL House role we should all get used to Longmuir coaching us until at least ANZAC Day 2027.

Just pathetic coaching, such a poorly delivered gameplan over 5 years that just never changes.

I get you really hate, JLo but this post was embarrassing.

Before JLo, it was slow, dour, boring and utterly predictable. I'm not sure what part of that you describe as 'joy, drive and pure attacking skill' because there was a complete absence of all of that. It's as accurate as the rest of your post.

You're taking a lot away from the Melbourne midfield there, they completely over ran the Dockers.

They took what our abysmal coaching and preparation, and the pathetic game day structures (repeated ad nauseum even when Freo's "plan" was clearly failing by 20 minutes into Q2) gave them.

Melbourne played solid footy, we ignored their gameplan, players, structures and just did nothing apart from rely on Bolton's brilliance and instincts all day. I'm not surprised, really quite relieved that we didn't win by 60points and give JLo 2 more years of coaching.
