G'day guys, congratulations on the win. A lot of us Victorians underrate the West Australian teams because we generally don't see a lot of them on TV. I was very impressed with Freo, especially the defence with the likes of Hadrill, Hayden and Woods. Just a quick question about a couple of our players - How did Matthew Maguire and Xavier Clarke perform? Clarke has been great for us all season and is a very exciting prospect. Also, Maguire is probably a sleeper in our group of youngsters, but he will have to step up over the next month because of the injury to Max Hudghton. How did these two players go?

I thought Clarke showed a bit. Has good, clean hands and is agile.

Didnt take much notice of Maguire , but seemed to do his Job O.K.

I will tell you something I was very impressed with Xavier Clarke , but not as impressing as them lush Virgin Chicks

I have always been a fan of Clarke, even last year I thought he was pretty good. He had pretty silky skills and you could just tell he would turn into a very good AFL player. I think he will definitely end up playing in the midfield/half forward because he is so damaging and quick, he is probably just learning to be accountable down back this season.

Maguire looks a likely type as well.

Yeah, Clarke is such a natural footballer. He was really damaging playing as a loose man across half back setting up scoring opportunities for the Saints with his dash, drive and creativity from defence (much like Woods and Hayden were doing for us).

Maguire is also talented, I was very impressed with his courage and his ability to back into oncoming traffic without hesitation. He should be able to cover the loss of Hudghton well.
