Everyone must get there..

We win this game we will almost surely play finals...

We need to get behind our boys 110%.. We all know our boys love big games..The bigger the crowd the better they play..

If we can win 3 of next 4..(Doggies, Richmond, West Coast (away) and Brisbane (home) ) that would give us around 11-12 wins which this season would be enough to play finals..

So come on guys let's get there on Friday night and help our boys over the line :):):):thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

The amotsphere will be electric if we get up.

The hawthorn game earlier this year when we put them away in the last quarter the crowd was going nuts.

The roar when Lovett kicked the goal to put the game beyond doubt in the last was intense...lasted around 30 secs

From a purely Essendon perspective, the atmosphere at the Dome is much better than at the MCG. When we have played Carlton and Collingwood this year as home games, we have been either outnumbered or out-yelled during these games.

At least at the Dome the crowd is 80% Essendon which makes it a lot more exciting for us.

I still can't get over how loud the Carlton fans were in Round 13. They are seriously the loudest supporters going around and create such an amazing atmosphere.

In the first half when they were in the game, perhaps, but I thought we were much louder & created much more atmosphere in the second half when we were getting on top. That particular game was their member reimbursement game (for selling a home game to the Gold Coast) and allowed them free entry in the Ponsford Stand, hence the crowd numbers that evening were fairly even.

This Friday Night is a very important night for our club, being our home game. We need to ensure we put in a good performance on the big stage against a legitimate flag contender. We've won 3 of our last 4, like the Bulldogs - and we've both lost to Collingwood in that time. The Dogs are deserved favourites given their overall form throughout the year but we need to all make sure we get to Etihad and outnumber the Dogs fans (which won't be overly difficult) and give the boys a lift. :thumbsu:

Reserve your seat now if you haven't already is my advice. The best available seat I could get yesterday was on Level 3, so they must be going pretty fast.

Let's make Docklands a Essendon cauldron.

And if people miss out because they were too late to get seats, I'd rather they be Bulldogs supporters than Essendon :)

That goal was like a release for 4 years of garbage we have copped from Hawthorn. One of those "finish these c---s off" type of goals.

Stantons against Carlton in Round 13 was another, whole southern stand was fist pumping. :D

Can anybody give me some help, im trying to get tickets for Friday night and im using TicketFail and all it will give me is row R L3 41, which is right next to those big screens, pretty much the worst seats you can get. Should I bite the bullet and get them or are they releasing the best tickets last as they are reknowned for doing, advice please... Member as well..

Yes and no. It's just a huge slab of concrete if you ask me and the venue has a very sterile atmosphere. You still have to yell pretty hard to get any sort of reverberation happening inside. It's going to sound better at the Dome when playing sides like the WBD, Kang, Melb, Geel and Stk who don't have the supporter base to pack out the G' ... perhaps Geelong do. But the atmosphere for any big game (whether we're out-yelled or not) will always be bigger and better at the G.

Feel sorry for you ... as I'm going into college tomorrow for the week as part of a welcome program for uni exchange students... and our coordinator landed 200+ tickets congregated together lol!

There goes 200 potential screaming essendon supporters, but hey, i get a free ticket! :D

Yeah you are right in terms of overall atmosphere being better at the G. ANZAC Day and Rounds 3 and 13 were insane. I meant in terms of a purely Essendon crowd it is better at the Dome. I love the Air Raid siren and the cauldron atmosphere that we are developing there.

The Hawks game was awesome. You don't get an appreciation of how loud things are at the ground when watching it on TV. I remember Neale Daniher's last game as Melbourne coach and when Lovett kicked the 'winning goal'. My whole section thought he kicked it and didn't hear the whilstle and went nuts. It sounded like 50,000 going crazy. Yet watching on the replay it was little more than a dull roar.

I agree with Smyth's assessment of Stanton's goal in Round 13. That was the back breaker and all the Bomber's fan went nuts. :D

I take it you weren't there for the following games... Eagles 03, Brisbane 04, Eagles 07 and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few more. Absolutely incredible atmosphere at those games.

So what? You're comparing one game at the dome a year you'd consider "incredible" as opposed to half a dozen a year at the 'G in any given season?

Sure I've been there for some great games, but it seems only in nailbiting finishes can you get that sort of atmosphere.

Not true for the MCG ... it doesn't need to be a close game in order to feel electrifying intensity of the crowd.

What? The 2006 Grand Final was rubbish until the final 5 minutes, and even then it was still pretty bland football.

You have to look at it from my perspective mate, i was playing for south melbourne districts seniors at the time and the year before the entire team rocked down with the cup and all. It was nowhere near as good as the 05 final. Those two grand finals i had as much passion for the swans as i do for essendon v carlton.

When embley rushed thate behind the game exploded and i think that was 3rd quarter.

hardly bland football as you put it
