COLLINGWOOD FOOTBALL CLUB'S LAST TRAINING SESSION before the 2010 AFL Grand Final will be held at;

GOSCH'S PADDOCK
FRIDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER
10.15AM (approx)

For those attending (like me) the best bet is to get there a little early, as the crowd will at least rival the number that attended on Wednesday.

The best bet is public transport, as you can then take it into the city after training to get to the GRAND FINAL PARADE, which starts at 12pm at the Arts Centre, and will go up Swanston Street, before turning right into Collins St and ending at the Treasury Building steps where both teams and coaches will be presented.

Enjoy the day, and mingle and talk with your fellow pies fans.:D

For anyone who is thinking of going to the parade, my advice is to place yourself close to "either end", that being the start at the Arts Centre, where the players mill around about before taking off, or the end, at the treasury building steps, where the players will be presented, the songs will be sung and the atmosphere will be at it's best.

I'll be going straight from Gosch's paddock to Parliament station (via Richmond station), as Parliament station brings you out about 100 meters north of the Treasury building.

Enjoy the day.

Thats actually a good idea, I might take the the train from Richmond to Parliament as well now.

At training now. Already a good crowd in. Am on the half forward flank, punt road side just down from the tv camera.

Keep Us Updated.

Will the Full 31 Train today? Like Wood and Fraser and Others?

Side by Side.

Yeah I agree.... When was the last time he gave his ALL for the side?
Remember against Melbourne when he was too lazy to pick up Jamar and then yelled at his teammates for not covering his lazy arse!?

The one I feel sorry for is Tarks... :(

why do you decide on Grand final eve to dump your load?

Josh played very well in the two Grand finals he did play for us.

He never really was a ruckman and we tried to force him to play that role...

anyway..

They look real focused yet relaxed. Ball is out there kicking with both legs. He's fine and will play. Jack and Simon Buckley training, so is jmac. P

That sounds good so the Ball Rumours is Total BS as Usual

Gone to give us a Full Report of training later?
At a mates joint now, so I have access to a PC.

Here's a run down of this morning's very short, but sharp training session.

The team came out about 10.10am, and from what I could count and see, all of the 25 named players were there, plus 3-4 others (Fraser, Wood, Anthony, Meds and Buckley).

They started out with 2 stretching sessions, at both ends of the ground, and in between ran around the boundary, to the delight of the 3-4K people there.

After that, some kicking drills were conducted, in several different setups, and every one looked in a good mood, with Daisy and Heater really playing jokes on each other.

The final "main" part of training was a full ground session, where the ball was moved from end to end, mainly using the Punt Road side of the ground, much to MaCaffer's disgust as he hardly ever saw the ball (which was kind of funny).

One thing of notice before the end, Maxwell got the backline group together for a talk in a huddle (7-9 players including Jack and Nate) but he called for Ben Johnson to come out of the main group who were at the other end and join the defensive huddle (Johnson on Milne is a cert now).

They then gathered for a talk from Mick and Nick, and then went off as a group.

They looked sharp, showing very few nerves, and overall looked rapt at the turnout, and were just enjoying the session.

We are right to go, 25 fit and ready players to choose from, OVER TO YOU MICK.:thumbsu:
