Still can't understand why that was done - with the apparent clause that was in Priddis's contract that's like a player holding a gun over the Club, no matter what his form has been. Priddis has never been elite, but his stats this year in comparison to other years has dropped off quite considerably which makes the decision to re-sign him all the more baffling.

Wasn't the extension the result of a trigger clause in his contract? You can understand them putting something like that in his contract especially if it was drafted at the end of 2015 when he had a good season.

That's exactly my argument in that how the Club was so stupid as to allow that trigger clause to be entered into, as even Blind Freddy is not clairvoyant enough to predict what any players form will be further down the track. What would happen now should Priddis sustain a career ending injury - the Club would be stuck with having to continue to pay him. Stupid is all I can say!!

He was in our best three players every season since 2005. I assume he has not had that kind of impact for you guys?

He's been good without being spectacular, would prefer to see him in the team without Priddis as having both in the middle isn't working.

Plays better when Priddis isn't clogging up his space as a witches hat.

Very good mostly, only shocker was against Essendon when he was caught with the footy a bit, brings the Hawthorn attitude which we need. Him and Priddis in the same team has its issues though, since Priddis has unfortunately "earned" another contract I can't see Sam going around again, which sucks for the team and myself because I love watching him play on our team.

I'd definitely keep Jetta atm, with Wellingham, Hurn, Schofield, Hill, Masten & Redden as depth.

That could happen to any contracted player
