Melbourne are the only Melbourne based team that has any prospects for the flag....good luck to the Dees.
Quite a few of the better players were reasonably well held and although North didnt fire any shots until late you still eaked out a six goal win.I think you will need more from Neitz Yze and Davies and a lot relies on White but if you keep the team on the ground you have a great chance....good luck

I think the Demons r my pick this yr, this will depend on injuries of course. They have players who have finals experience r now tougher in the middle with young players McLean, Sylvia and Maloney good back line very good forward line just have to peak at the right time. Also have good depth in the squad. Could it be number 13? Also r great to watch. The best quarter this yr was the first quarter they played against Geelong, it was great to watch.(didnt enjoy watching them today though ;) )

Marns u just never know the best thing if u win apart from the bragging rights r watching the last game of the yr 100 times. I know its a very early and u want to keep a lid on it, i also forgot this isnt a Collingwood site as they would have already ordered their weg posters, only problem is they always seemed to get destroyed on that last day in September so do the weg posters ;)

At least Kangaroos supporters have 4 more recent WEG posters then we do!

I'm not getting to far ahead though as I believe in taking it "one week at a time" as they say! ;)

Plus West Coast are still the "team to beat" in my opinion.

It also depends where u finish in the top 4 as well.If say WCE finish 1st u wouldnt want to play them over there in the first final. You could do what North did during the 95 season in the last rd. It was rumoured that in the last 5 mins v Collingwood North looked to have won the game while the Crows were going to win in Adelaide. If we won we would play the first final in Adelaide. With 3 mins left Crows won and Collingwood managed to kick 2 goals in 1 minute and we lost putting us 7th to play the Cats on a Friday night in Melb. We ended up knocking the Cats off who had finished 2nd . We played next final in Melb v Wce which we won, while the unlucky Cats had to travel to the 1st week winners in Adelaide(that was the controversial Colbert mark game)Cats were knocked out and we got knocked out by the eventual Premiers Carlton in the Preliminary final. If u do play WCE over there and win well that would change things but it is still very early and of course the Pies r still a very huge chance to finish first :D so who knows.
