Why do we continue to put in efforts like this? 4-5 goals against us in quick succession, effectively ends our chance of a win. And it's not like this happens once in a blue moon. It's happened against C'Wood, Geelong and now Essendon. All 3 competing for a top 8 pos. Why does this happen? Surely the coaches would focus on working on these, yet, again, we mangae to defy all odds and do it time and time again. Good teams don't let that happen. Needless to say, I'm surprised the cops haven't been called to my house on reports of a domestic. Even though the roommates are out on the town and I'm home alone.

Wrong Coach.
4 years in the job. His messages (whatever the hell they are) are not getting through.

Time to move on him (at years end, but look for a top shelf replacement now)
 
Poor disposal. Time and time again, turnover after turnover. Need more Nick Vlastuins running around for us

Changes the messages is the worry, why would you instruct a running team with a capable forward line to chip the ball around in circles?
 
I'm always surprised by this club. Every week, I get asked to go out in the city with mates and have a good time. Time and time again, I say no if we are playing on a Fri or Sat. And time and time again, I always ask myself why I choose to go to games or watch on the telly. We play good footy against teams that are below us. Yet, can't even get close to teams that we need to beat to show that we have improved. I don't understand this club. I don't get it. I've made some poor choices in my life. But I feel choosing to support Richmond back 20 years ago when I was a little nipper will haunt me for my life.

Too many stupid footballers.

Not enough fitness. You could see just before half time how tired our guys were already. Half hearted tackle attempts. Not bothering to chase or smother.

This chipping it backwards business. I refuse to believe its a coaches order. It's a panic tactic if you ask me. They look up and are afraid to go fwd. eventually turning it over.

Too many Handballs, and weak Handballs at that. HIT THE ****ING THING HARD.

As soon as we implement this style, the game is over, and it's usually once we're down by 7-10 points.

He is tactically inept. It's been apparent for years. OK he ****ed off a lot of shit that we had, anyone with half a brain would have done that. He isn't a good coach. We're going backwards.
 
I fear we still lack leadership.

Bring in the young guys with the leadership qualities - Dea (#7) & Astbury (#12)

Take out the mentally weak who consistently let us down - starting with the nervous introverted nahas.

I don't think the team is going backwards, he may be a good development coach. Essendon were ripe for the picking tonight, and the message should have been all out attack. I have no idea at all why he would instruct our team, that's capable of scoring 100 points against anyone to play that style of play. It let them off the hook in a big way IMO.
