Players taken in the top 10 is depressing...

Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Fun fact: we've had 6 top ten picks in our history. Gold Coast had 6 in their first draft.

We got Riccuito outside of the draft. That's effectively a top 5 picks.
Yeah, completely different types of concessions - access to all SANFL players, but not allowed to participate in the draft for 2 years. Could sign 10 uncontracted players IF they were South Australian.

I've picked years 2012-18 primarily as this is when Ogilvie started as head recruiter (I think?) and as this should be our current core group of players minus a few of the veterans (Sloane, Talia, Walker etc.). Median pick is from the first 4 selections of each ND. My choices of best 22 are obviously subjective and other may have a different view.

4 key takeways:
- Real lack of high end access to the draft
- Pretty decent selecting relative to other teams
- Serious retention issues
- Lack of pure mids who have made it

And the later draft picks:

61 243 Michael Rischitelli Brisbane
62 235 Ben Johnson Collingwood
63 165 Tyson Goldsack Collingwood

68 228 Russell Robertson Melbourne
69 171 Brad Sholl North Melbourne

71 280 Justin Westhoff Port Adelaide
72 204 Sam Jacobs Carlton
73 201 Ryan Houlihan Carlton
74 138 Jeremy McGovern West Coast
75 203 Taylor Walker Adelaide
76 129 Andrew Raines Richmond
77 203 Ben Dixon/Luke Breust Hawthorn/Hawthorn
